What did you drive before your LC 200

    A Mini Cooper

    2017 initial impressions - driving

It takes some time to get used to the LC200 after driving other SUVs. The braking you describe sounds about right for Land Cruisers. If you suspect something strange, one approach is to test drive a brand new Land Cruiser and see if there is a difference.

    Sound Insulation LC200

Has anyone installed additional sound deadening insulation in an LC 200? I imagine the best gains would be in the doors and ceiling. No, I don't want the LX :)

    LX570 Best Model Year

Ponderous and slow is my thing. Love my LC, but seek a softer quieter ride without sacrificing reliability and build standards. Thinking if I install some 17's and big ol highway tires on an LX, I should have a floating bruiser. Not going to offroad or race the stupid thing. Annoyed that the new...

If Escalade was reliable like Lexus, I would forever buy it over the Lexus.

Looks super sweet. How is the ride with those? Cabin noise and comfort?

    LX570 Best Model Year

Biggest driver for me is the hydraulic suspension. I want to throw big fat highway tires on it and glide over the Earth.

    LX570 Best Model Year

That's what I'm thinking. Anything the 2015 doesn't have that's available in later models that you wish you had?

    LX570 Best Model Year

Thinking of trading my 2017 LC for an LX. Can anyone comment on the biggest differences between the pre and post 2015 models? Other than the monster grill, are there other major differences in the mechanics or usability of the post 2015 models? Also, any thoughts on the best LX570 model years...

On Road Comfort in the LC200

Guys, many thanks to all for the advice, looks like a slightly bigger highway tire on the lower end of the pressure range will be my ticket when it's time to replace the Dunlops. In retrospect, I would still buy the LC over the Lexus. All the extra Lexus fluff is just not for me, especially the...

On Road Comfort in the LC200

I probably should have, but once I drove the LC, I had to have it.

Did it make a big difference in the on road comfort?

On Road Comfort in the LC200

2017, 24,000 miles. My tire pressure 1-2 PSI lower than what's on the door panel. It helps comfort, but I'm looking to maximize, thinking that smaller rim, thicker highway tire may be the ticket.

Thanks. Any issues with tire pressure sensors when switching to smaller wheels?

On Road Comfort in the LC200

Thanks for the tire recommendation. Will 275/70r18 Michelin p-metrics fit the stock 18 inch wheel, no issue? No rubbing concerns?

On Road Comfort in the LC200

This is why I love this forum, so you guys can set noobs like me straight. The one question I have from this, would airbags help the on-road ride comfort? That's all I'm after. I'm on stock suspension now.

On Road Comfort in the LC200

Hello fellow bruisers, has anyone installed or thought about installing an air suspension on a 200 LC in order to get a Lexus like ride? I chose the LC over the LX because of its simplicity, but I really wish it has an air suspension, as all my driving is on-road and I can really feel everything...

    Why the Land Cruiser?

For the past 6 months, I have owned and driven a 2017 200-Series Land Cruiser here in North Carolina, USA. This thing is an absolute monster. I mean, solid as a rock. Just like that song. I continue to discover little design gems here and there that consistently remind me that this machine is...
