Sounds like the same setup yes.
Went with the 16371-61010 pulley. Found it NOS here on the Classifieds section from a vendor based in UAE.
But I also saw some aftermarket reproductions or used ones. Being only 1 groove it's a lot less looked after than the 2 or 3 grooves versions.
Pump is...
Personally I recently decided for my F.5 to go the route of a 2F fixed fan waterpump.... That was before this news but that confirms the choice.
You just need to find the correct 2F pulley for this change (single groove ones can be found NOS in GCC or reproduction for cheap).
At least the 2F WP...
Went for a first light offroad near by on a new track created to install a Telecom pylon (on our property).
And took the opportunity to have the Hiace empty to get some of the wood cut to make for the pylon...
Now the rear ride height is back at a similar level than the front x)
On...
Everything is now out!
The chassis is by far the heaviest thing of all
Lol I got a new lift for free xD
Comparison of before removing everything (and with 1/4 water tank full) and empty:
Both picture with OME spring.
Made the motopump work
Had to bypass the foam injection system as the hose inside was broken and was leaking badly
Used the reel also, that thing has 100m of hose!
Tried the suction and the pump had no issue self-priming and empty the air, that's a nice pump.
But still it was time for it...
Some news
The Hiace passed with flying colors the French Technical Control (mandatory to get the definitive license plate)
Found where the firefighter horn was xD
Found an analog speed tracker, not sure if I want to keep it for the sake of it or just remove it (but anyway the tap would stay...
On the FJ40 front, it will go tomorrow to the garage for a little general check-up and for replacing the waterpump. I finally decided myself to replace the current one (last changed in 1977) and as my very specific euro-spec setup isn't available, I gathered everything to adapt a 2F fix fan...
That's how the day started in the French Alps
Then passed (and payed) the custom import...
Got my French temporary license plate and finally was able to really drive it!
Drove very well for 500km and it's now officially home!!
Passed a first milestone on the odo on the way 😁
For all of you wanting to follow the Hiace build, the thread is live and I just brung it back from Switzerland: 1992 Hiace 4wd Firetruck - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/1992-hiace-4wd-firetruck.1336328/
PS: some new things on the FJ40 are happening soon also!
I'm not sure what was the exact use of this vehicle in Switzerland.
Yes the pump isn't that big, it says 28-40L/min
And actually both fittings we can see on top of the pump are input (left one to input from a fire hydrant to fill the tank, right one to suck from a water source).
So the only...
Hello 👀
I'm squatting this section as there isn't one dedicated to the Hiace, mechanically it's closer to the 1995+ Hilux/Tacoma/4runner/T100 but wasn't seeing myself squatting the dedicated section of one of those models and my Hiace is "95-older" 😁
But if someone has a better suggestion to...
As far as I know JDM stopped getting petrol 40 series after 1974 so the late 2F starter, exhaust parts or even the 12V 1978+ oil gage can't be targeted at the JDM trucks.
So there is still something that doesn't make sense in this program...
But sometime it is as simple as the department in...
