Thanks for the link! I did search, but didn’t find that.
I have a good impact, so tempted to just have at it.
The pulley isn’t keyed so I’m concerned with trying to tighten and torque ( won’t the shaft just spin inside the pulley?)
Anyone swapped out their alternator pulley?
FSM calls out SST 09820-63010 be used for the nut. For those not familiar, the shaft head is sized for a 10mm wrench, and must be held while the 22mm nut is loosened/tightened and torqued.
Any easy way of doing this without the SST? I hate to have to...
Hey Pat,
Thanks again for the ARB. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
Anyone considering a Trail Gear bumper should jump on the deal he's offering. Pat's a great guy, and was very easy to work with.
If you're going the Plastidip route better to use black than trying to match the red.
Even if you could find a close color match they'll fade and look like crap.
You can buy a new housing from Toyota ($1000+) and swap out everything from your old axle housing (brake lines, third member, brakes, etc). Not a hard job.
You'll need new axle seals.
