Hey guys,
Anyone headed from Tucson to Phx and have room for 5 wheels and tires this week?
Tires/wheels are sold and we're tied to helping out family caretake so we can't leave the house for very long over the next few weeks. 33" tires so they aren't huge.
Here's our new to us 2008 200 series. 153,000 miles. One owner in Los Angeles its whole life. Sonoran Gold.
We've been in the process of going through it. We've cleaned the seats with a steam cleaner, did it a second time and rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot. The interior is definitely...
Looking for a 2008 to 2011 200 series. We've found a couple at $25K/$27k with 151k and 161k but they are far away. So, before we start booking flights to Texas or the PNW we wanted to see if anyone in the Southwest was thinking about selling, but didn't pull the trigger yet.
Thank you,
Tim
Hey guys,
I've been searching, but maybe someone could point me in the direction of some links or a good thread and I'll delete this one.
Looking at a nice 1 owner 200 series, but the sellers kids must be wolves. Several interior buttons have the paint scratched off so they are white, the faux...
So, we're out near Mt. Augusta and fluid is pouring out of the steering shaft input.
We're trying to get a seal kit on the way from Cruiser Outfitters, buy does anyone in town rebuild them?
It's a LHD HDJ80, but I think the box is the same as an FZJ80. Not 100% sure.
May just do it ourselves...
Hey guys,
Our 80 is just arriving back from South America and it's time to do some basic maintenance. (Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters etc). What Toyota parts source do you use here to get a decent discount on parts?
Also, anyone open during the quarantine to do shock rebuilds? I need to...
I sat down with Andy of 7P chat about these and we did a full line pull. It's not really a review, but more of a walk through since there is so little info on these still.
We're spending a year driving to South America and decided to use 2 of these to replace our older Arborist style aluminum...
Well, old Goose, our 1995 80 series went through some big changes over the last year. We had a nicely built truck for every bit of exploring we did over the last 8 or so years. The problem was that there wasn't any interior living space and we were planning to live in the truck for a year or...
No prior issues or signs of failure. Just spent 4 days wheeling and on the way home the revs went high right as I lost all forward power. Like the trans just disconnected from the driveline.
Tried L, 2nd, R, low range, high range, CDL, Ect Trans button, fluid level normal(maybe a bit low). Same...

This is a subtank from a 105 with straps which is related to the 80 series you could say. Can be used on an 80 series like George did. Here is some info on this model tank from his website:
"The 105 subtank appears to be slightly larger.
The 105 is advertised to be 65 liters (approx...
I bought this oem subtank from a buddy in Australia, but I decided to fab up my own so this ones for sale. Includes straps.
The tank is really clean inside since this came off of his truck when he installed a long ranger.
I'll ship it, but you pay shipping. Located in Phoenix, AZ. $650

Well, I avoided getting an awning like the plague for the last 15 or so years. The only ones I sorta liked were the Hannibal awning because they self supported and folded away quickly. They always seemed expensive and hard to get so when I saw the Alucab one I thought it finally looked like...
SOLD
They actually came off my FJ40, but most folks refer to them as OEM FJ60 wheels. Good condition being in AZ their entire life. I used some window cleaner, but some real chrome polish would make them clean up pretty damn nice.
Located in Phoenix, AZ. $300
p.s.
Willing to ship, but I...
So.... I thought you AZ folk might like this story from last weekend.
I think the more articulate and beautiful half should tell the story, but first a little background. A buddy of mine is a Toyota Master Mechanic and has owned his own shop for nearly 30 years. He’s the guy who reads service...
I think the more articulate and beautiful half should tell the story, but first a little background. A buddy of mine is a Toyota Master Mechanic and has owned his own shop for nearly 30 years. He’s the guy who reads service manuals on new cars and sends corrections to Toyota. He is absolutely...
Here is part 1:
Well, I wrote it up and I can't paste it here. Not trying to get clicks, but figured I'd share.
Basically, we do a Death Valley trip every year for the last 9 or so. 2 FZJ80's, a 3rd gen 4runner, a 5th gen 4runner and my brother in a gawd damn F-150 that got high centered on...
