JimC, Mark, or @matressking and I think you will be happy.
Mark rebuilt my 60s carb and it runs great. I’m sending him my other 2F carb and my 3F as well once I get my rebuild kit from overseas.
Roger that - I will verify and let you know ASAP.
I’ve had my head in my arse too long which is why I haven’t posted lol. Hard to juggle kids, lady, work, couple cruisers, etc.! No excuses - will try to get stuff posted soon in 55 section.
@PabloCruise - can you put me down for a header for my 60?
Quick question - I have a carb’d 3F in my 55 - already has headers but they’re getting on in age. I would grab a second spare set if they potentially fit? I know it’s less common here in the states but if someone potentially knows...
I’m not sure if this may be an issue, but just in case - my friend was adamant to replace the parking brake adjustment cables only with OEM. He had lots of issues with aftermarket ones and length/size being slightly off. They are still available via Toyota for 60 series (I actually bought some...
@CruiserTrash - So, I did the rear brakes, then developed the issue (never happened prior to this). I then actually got a new OEM parking brake line (and sleeve/cup and hardware) and issue persisted. Then did the shim repair. It’s only been a couple weeks with maybe 150-200 miles, so will see if...
Many thanks to @liveoak, @ntdb, @EscapeWagon62, @g-man, @Spike Strip and others for this thread - incredibly helpful.
After trying to be 'proactive' and update my rear brakes to try to eek out as optimal braking on stock equipment as I could, I replaced my rear brakes with shoes and other...
Kelly - thanks again for doing this - what an incredible undertaking!
Similar to above, I am missing the L/R cargo gaskets, I am also missing one of the front mitred baily channels (BC3501), and I am also missing one of the clutch/brake pedal pads (PP368; I ordered two and received one). I am...
I had similar issues. This may not be your issue but may be good to double check: my torque rod somewhere along the line got reversed. I knew something was amiss after vacuum lines were all checked and new rebuilt carb yielded no change.
15 min later it was like having a new rig…🙄 Like my 60...
Great to know. Between my 60, 55 (with a 3F motor), and my first gen Tacoma, it’s hard to keep everything straight! I guess these are the good problems to have for sure!
Let me know best way to move forward from your end. Happy to send check, Venmo, PayPal, etc and happy to send dissy so in...
