Did Toyota beef up the pistons as the years went on? I am pulling a 2006 1HZ and want to turbo charge it. You would think after having problems with a thin piston head a fix would have occurred.

Hello everyone. I am trying to start this motor to test before I commit. I know there is a very similar thread but my 1HZ has three wires coming from the cutoff solenoid. Does anyone have knowledge of this 3 wire system to get her going? Thank you.
All the rubber pieces underneath. Who has replaced them all? What did you notice when you did? Did you go OEM or aftermarket? What is the best kit/deal you know of?

Tried the search and could have sworn I saw something about this. About to purchase the 17 inch steel wheels and want to make sure they will work in an 80.

Well had to do it after about five years of clicking. Some tips that I may offer.
For cleaning agent I used ZEP from Home Depot. This stuff is potent and nonflammable. It is less expensive than solvent and took the grease off in less than five hours.

I am torquing down the hub nuts and have one extension/adapter but to torque down the 48 inch pounds i need to use another adapter. Is there a torque difference? The guy at sears said about a 5 inch pound difference.
