You either have an awesome collection of HMMWVs in your driveway and one hell of a garage.....or your cheating :grinpimp:
Nice job, trailer is look'n good. You must have found that in the southwest somewhere, looks really rust free.
M416/CDN M101/M100....shocks?
Have you looked at shocks for a 1/4t military trailer?
I run these on my CDN M101 and have zero complaints.
NAPA, part number RR 94038
Nominal Extended Length = 17.875 inches
Nominal Compressed Length = 11.25 inches
5 min of fame
Thanks for the props. Pretty proud of it myself. It has been my 5 minutes of fame on the web for awhile now. It seems to pop up everytime someone starts a thread on kitchens, cooking, etc...
Cheap easy cross brace, 1/2 thin wall pvc pipe, cut to length depending on how high you want you bow to be. Glue a T on each end and insert about four inches of pipe on either side of the T to keep the bow from falling back or forward. Make two of these and prop them under you tarp and no more...
Something to consider
Bantam trailers have some collector's value to them. Before you dive into this project you may want to see of there are any collector's that are looking for one. You may make a little money out of the deal, trade for a better condition trailer, etc... Again, just something...
No affiliation, just surfing Ebay and found it, east coast trailers are getting
hard to come by for this kind of price. $900.00 OBO, guy even posted his phone
number, I think they are look'n to sell!

Found this on another Mud post and the link is below. Looks like a axle swap may be in order. The size is unique to M37 and early power wagon.
Bolt pattern is 5 on 6 7/8"
Bolt stud hole size is 1 1/4" (chamfered)
Hub center hole is 4 7/8"
Back spacing is 7"...
Those have to be the most "pimped" M series tail lights I have ever seen, nicely done!
If your concerned about visability of the lights you can replace those lenses with some M series full red lenses, http://www.midwestmil.com/m38p11.html These are also sometimes called Gamma Goat taillight...
Purely FYI here but, those NAPA shocks are made by Monroe. They are also OEM for the CDN2 M101 trailer. They are a screaming deal for thirty bucks.
Where did you find you propane cylinder at?
The trailer is look'n good, keep it up:cheers:
Trailer condom
I found a LG ATV cover at northern tool that works well for keeping the grime off. The cover was only about thirty bucks and has lasted a couple years. I originally bought it to keep the weather and sun off the trailer (stored outdoors) and keep the good mil spec tarp from...
Hubs
FYI, the M416 and M101 CDN2 do not share bearings/seals and also have different lug patterns. The M101 CDN2 uses standard 3500 Standen axle components and has a VW lug pattern. There are a variety of hub swaps and hub re-build kits for the M101 because it essentially uses a commercial...
Awesome find, I am a huge scrounge and I could spend days in that salvage yard. On the Yahoo groups M416 page check out "samath's/samath's" photo album, I believe it is the same trailer.
I gather you are currently traveling in Japan? Are you going to be able to import it back to the states...
Yeah I hate to say it but, that is why I still run my primative and noisey pintle/lunette setup. More than once I have thought about switching to a multi axis hitch but, reports similar to yours have kept me from doing it and well, I'm cheap bastard too :D I hope it all works out in your favor...
I recall Martyn of AT talking about the limitation of that hitch when certain angles are exceeded simutanoeusly, ie like a ratchet wobble joint. I believe similar issues may have been what promted them building their own multi axis hitch. I can't find the thread at this moment but, it was on the...
I saw both models on my last deployment to Iraq. Our Cougars had both types on them. The Grote have less LEDs than the Trucklite. The Grote seem less bright than Trucklite, JMO though.
congrats
I highly recommend checking out the Yahoo Groups page for CDN M101. There is a wealth of knowledege on there. FYI there are two of us over here in Sumter with CDN M101s. You can check out mine on the yahoo group page, photo album labled Bill. My buddy Steve bought one last summer and...
