    How necessary is CDL really?

    In moderate terrain it really doesn't matter. In anything serious climbing, I need it because A-trac even in "rock" will not let you keep climbing without it. Just fix it, easy to do yourself.

    I think I have the nomenclature wrong then, revised maths- 5 batteries in series (1.6v x 5), connected to 9 in parallel (1.6 v (20 ah x 9) 180 ah; would make a 6p as the 5 would 'see' the hybrid 9 as a an additional single series battery? Then you could use a 6p BMS?

    My 16LX does it very rarely. I had read it had the feature, but it almost never actuates. It also never beeps. I have to be up on a very severe angle, then it works great. I was a passenger in a Tacoma and it did it all the time but usually backing.
