Funny you posted this just now, as I am right this moment looking around at bumpers, and came across your site. Was considering something in aluminum to get the clearance and a winch without so much weight.
I'm trying to determine the same. For similar usage, DD + trail rides, I'm looking at the Continental TerrainContact A/T. I don't hear much about them, but they look great for DD-first/occasional off road use. Sizes aren't great, but the 275/65-18 would work.
Went through similar myself, and ended up with a '17 LC last week. Just do it.
