    Builds 79 Rusty redemption build *PICS*

    Nice build! I had a '79 FJ40 back in the early 90's and really enjoyed it. I sold it for the 10/77 I own now. I was wondering what type of media you are using in your blast cabinet? It leaves a really nice finish on the parts you pictured above. Good luck with the build.

    All I can remember is that trailer was heavy!! My dad had a weight distributing hitch on the FJ40 and the trailer had electric assist brakes. I believe it was quite a chore to drive pulling that trailer with 3 on the tree, no power steering and drum brakes all around.

    Yeah, the Freeborn one pictured is my current rig - 10/1977. The blue rig pictured previous was my dad's growing up and is a 1972.

    I'll try to get some updated pics in the am. We finallly got some snow he in the northeast which we havent seen in about 2 years. We got about 9 inches here which has seem to have brought everything to a standstill! I love it!!!!!

    Thank you, however, there are far more on this site that make mine look like it was just dragged out of the field!!!! Many guys on this site have incredible attetion to detail which truely shows in their cruisers!!!!
