Replacement fuel injector plugs 80 series

I am getting ready to build up a new Toyota short block and want to streamline it as much as possible. I have most items needed to complete the transfer of parts from the old engine to the new short block.. I am keeping the old head if it checks out ok. I know I've read on here somewhere about...

EGR Readiness Achieved with EGR Removed!

    I am in the process of designing a solid state device that will replace the clicking relay. It can be wired in permanently and will keep the ECU satisfied and "Ready" Since my state does not do inspections and since the 4.7K resister is working well I am not bothering on a solid state device;

    LX570 Tires

My 09 LC has 21 LX570 wheels and tires as shown in post 12 above. The PO swapped the original 18" wheels and tires for these. Ride is great! Speedo is spot on, Odo reads 3% slow so have to correct mileage driven by 3% to get accurate MPG. I am looking on returning back to 18" wheels.

    ‘09 LC w/ 212k Miles Buying Advice

I changed the starter on my 2009 at 136000 miles as a precaution. I ordered a new one from Olathe Toyota parts then took the old one to a local shop for rebuilding. Same time I ordered the starter, I ordered a new solenoid. Local "good" shop could not find any brushes for the starter as they...

how to replace the u-joints in your 80

Old post I know, but forever problem. I used the tiger tool successfully as well as the companion "C" clamp to reassemble. Worked GREAT! A bit pricey but doable. $99.00 for each tool, worth it in my book.

If the hf2av uses 3 gears to drive the output shaft in high range, how does the underdrive kit work?

Not with the Gen5 engines and direct injection. Yeah the older versions were troublesome. It can be removed fairly easily if necessary. I daily drive a 2015 Silverado for work with a 5.3 gen 5 and I love it.

If the hf2av uses 3 gears to drive the output shaft in high range, how does the underdrive kit work?

Hardly, when I say Limited Offroad, I don't live in Colorado and or Moab but when I go there I do off road the trails/mountain passes, hard to do with an LS/Alvalon.... Long drives pulling a trailer to get there from Oklahoma as well.

If the hf2av uses 3 gears to drive the output shaft in high range, how does the underdrive kit work?

Since I am in the planning stages of a 6.2L Gen5 swap into my LX450 I am anxiously waiting on results of the new idler gear. I want to do the 9% overdrive to help out with the final drive ratio since I will have plenty of power available. I plan to keep Displacement on Demand and look to get...

    No click click...no bang bang

While there maybe some good Interstate batteries, my experience is not good. The dealers say they keep the stock fresh and the truck will come and take the old stock and replace it. My thoughts are they just move them around. Old stock for old stock, dusted off. May be wrong, but is am...

    8x Series V8 Swaps

Below is a diagram I found on "Currentperformance.com" showing the Gen5 engine front with the addition of their power steering bracket on the Passenger side below the alternator. AC compressor is high on PS. Low on DS side is the vacuum pump. This may fit well between the frame rails. Notice...

My LSEAT leather seat experience and install directions

What color Lseat covers did you get. I have a 97 LX450. Bisque seems a bit dark but is what they recommend. I am still waiting for samples. I've heard that the ivory is closer to the correct LX color. My outside color is white.

    LS-swapped '80

This is a Holley setup for a Gen 5. Requires LS water pump to move back to center. Gen5 is offset to drivers side. Looks like it might fit. Maybe someone in the middle of a swap can check the dimensions and see how it will clear the frame rails. This setup includes a new SD compressor, 130a...
