They were finally able to reproduce it at the dealership after verifying that everything in the steering was functioning and tight. I forgot if they gave me an explanation when I picked it up, but all the receipt says is "misc lube firewall grommet." Hope that helps. Sorry.
Hi guys!
Sorry for probable repetition, but I was just wondering what tires are available in 285/65/18 in P-Metric. I've looked around the forum, but I couldn't find the answer. I think it would be a good size for my 2016 LC since it fits stock but would give me a little more size to fill out...
Is that confirmed, LC2018? That anything other than stock size will rub at higher articulation? Is there only the Falken tire that's available in 285/65/18 P-metric? I'd love to get a bigger size than stock while keeping the same ride and wet driving capabilities.
Hey guys! So I ended up going to the dealer. They did the job for $920 and I made sure it was the new radiator. While they were working on it they said they saw a small seep from the water pump, so I had them do that, too. The total cost was about $1700, which is a lot, but I consider a good...
I'll mention the o-ring. Is there a way of telling the new radiators from the old ones? I mentioned to the service rep at the dealership and he wasn't sure. Or is it safe to assume that if it hasn't been sitting on the shelf for years then it's an update one?
This is all good data. Thanks to everyone for the replies. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable asking for quotes. Before this thread, I didn't know anything on the topic besides that the radiator cracks then breaks. Everyone has been really helpful. I'll probably hold off on the water...
How much do those things tend to cost? I'm trying to watch my expenses, so it'd be great to avoid doing these if I could. On a scale from crucial for safety to only for obsessive owners, where do they fall?
Hi All!
Just wondering if you thought this was the first little part of the fatal crack in my radiator. I've been keeping an eye on it, but today I thought I saw a new little crack on the right side of the logo. It's really small if it's there at all. The car is a 2016 LC with about 95k miles...
Thanks for the concern. I'm going to stick to 33 for my Nokians, and I'll definitely be cautious of any pressures that low. Tire pressure does seem like a pretty tricky, individual thing, but below 30 would seem weird.
Got it. Thanks so much. I really appreciate all you do for the community. Same for lx200inAR, I just had trouble reading the table. Have a great day :-)
Hi Gaijin,
I was just wondering if you could tell me the recommended tire pressure for some Nokian Hakkapeliita's on stock Tundra rims. I think the measurements are 285/60r18 116R. I tried searching for an answer to my question, but couldn't find one. Thanks.
I love mine, although after about a year the clip that actually holds the phone partly broke on the left side. It could have been that I had mine too tight for the phone. I bought a new one, but it hasn't broken the rest of the way yet. Otherwise I think it's a great substitute for redoing the...
Hi, Everyone!
I've got some Nokian Hakkapeliittaa R3's on my winter wheels in stock size. I was just wondering what they would look like in an off-roading situation. I haven't seen any discussion of this. On one hand, they have pretty aggressive tread, but on another, they're soft and probably...
I think Wellesley Toyota is solid. They've done a couple services apparently well, although they did try to upsell me when my gas cap spring broke. And their owner, Nai Nan Ko, also owns a Cruiser shop called Roko (that a couple of fellows on here recommended me). It seems like they know what...
