Yes I just used the ididit column for a standard GM. I made the lower mount plate myself. Just used a collar and set screws to secure the bottom of the column.
Final mock up photos. It’s already been torn back down to the drivetrain. Was fun to look at for a couple weeks. Now it’s finish work and brake system 🤮
Time for an update. Been mocking up the bodywork, steering system and other stuff before paint. Made up a nifty lower steering column mount. Got the idea from another mud member
Doing a frame off resto on a 67 40. It's still got the vacuum system in place but it looks a little suspect, on top of being 50 years old. Would feel better about a linkage operated system. I've seen some kits out there for the conversion, but not for a TH350 trans. Looking for some...
Thanks for the feedback. Wanted to get back to you on your questions. I did just use adapter plates for the motor mounts so I am using the old adapter plates. I am also going with the stock fuel tank and an external pump and regulator.
