Thanks for the info. I know the setup was only used on the gas models. Anyway, I think this a simpler and better method. If anything goes wrong, It will be easier to fix and there's no risk of air getting in the injection system.

I have one in my rig and didn't notice any power increase. I was always told that a snorkel would decrease power output...
I use mine facing forward for the only reason thats the way it was designed for.
I believe only adding the cooler will have no increase in the power output. You'll need (at least) to increase diesel at the pump in order to notice a diference.

Just increased boost pressure to around 0,85bar (before around 0,74). Noticed a significative decrease in EGTs. Temp rising going up hills is also slower. Noticed also an increase in engine power.

Decided to follow your advise and installed a pyro and gauge post-turbo (94 1HDT with air-to-liquid intercooler, BF MUD 33s and overfueled, boost pressure at 0,75 bar).
I'm getting 350º/450ºC on flat runs at 2,400RPM (120 KPH). In case I floor it, the temperatures can rise to 750º or more...
