3-27-21 UPDATE: Putting it back up for sale. Nothing has changed with the truck. I put less than 1,500 miles on it this last year. The ARB drawers are not in the truck anymore so the price is $37,500... pretty firm on that. The truck is currently in Atlanta (Johns Creek). We will be here...
I'm far from a mechanic, but used this method to change out the FMS, Oil gasket and a few other things and it works really well. Just have a high quality breaker bar and socket, strap it all down securely, and disconnect the distributor so the engine doesn't start. I had zero issues, and I was...
I felt for you man! Can't imagine the thoughts going through your head knowing you had MILES of trail to go as a low rider. Kudos to you for sucking it up and making it out. Those skid pics are crazy, but don't surprise me at all after seeing and hearing you blaze through some of those...
I have the rotors and was advised not to use the pads so OEM pads. Made a big difference for me. No pulsing and stopping power was better. Not a ton of miles on them, but I recommend.
Nothing too special here. Really didn't have the time or inclination to take a ton of video, but here's a compilation of what my daughter took. Some good shots of @SchobTime in the 200 and @kreiten in the LX470.
Here are a few. I don't have a ton. IMHO, the 200's are just too big, coming from someone who has one. I didn't bring mine, and after going through the trail, I never would. The 100 did fine. Both 200's had non-trial related mechanical issues (rear locker and AHC failure) that made it all...
Took a 5700 mile road trip from Atlanta to Montrose, ran the Rimrocker trail to Moab and played there for two days, and then on to Tahoe to run the Rubicon before making the three day ride back to Atlanta.
Running in a 94 80 series at just below 300k when I started. I've done some of the...
I'm no expert in this kind of thing, but having both an 80 and a 200, and having wheeled both on the same tough trail (not Rubi), I think weight, distribution of that weight (hard to measure since every truck on every outing has different distribution), and especially the solid front axle which...
Rubicon is no joke, and not a good trail for a 200. It can be done, and was by two on this trip, but not without almost certain body damage. Everyone on the trip had some damage, some worse than others, and none all that bad really. The 200 is just too damn big to avoid it unfortunately, and...
We are kind of in the wrong thread to talk gears, but they run just slightly above stock. Definitely no issue at all. I run 80-90 on the highway and have no problems with the RPMs. With 33's, I think I'd still get them and I did run them with 33's for a while and still thought it was the best...
