Why?? My 40 is surging in 2nd low Gear going thru the paddocks feels like someone is pulling throttle on then off then on then on (you get the drift) is this a timing or carb adjustment problem :confused:

Is it just a matter of removing front shaft, flange nut then seal and is there a tapered roller bearing there ? and shims im guessing ?
As easy as that or not ??

if so i did it to mine here in New Zealand and are currently running 35" BFG All Terrains and have no probs as yet, but may install cooler in return line ;)

About the bezel at least you could pull your fly up;) that pic of your bezels up there for awhile :o
I run a stock carb on my 73 and wouldnt change :)
