Drain hole under windscreen moulding?? Or is water pooling somewhere?

Has this leak actually happened to you from using screws ? I'm curious because I don't believe using screws is a problem and this is just another forum myth that gets passed along. Spoke with plenty of experienced glass installers but what the heck do I know . Mine has screws and no leaks for...

Which winch for an ARB Deluxe?

ARB tech support is utterly useless for me , glad to hear you have better luck sorta although they never have any answers.... . They weren't even aware they made feet down style winch mounts , they had to write the AU team and ask lol .

UZJ100 Battery, Alternator and Ground Cable Kits - "Big Three Cable Kit"

Right one...... On the firewall cable, I wasn't sure if grounding to the intake manifold like that is logical. Is it aluminum, does it provide a ground....IDK. I'm going to poke it later with a multimeter and see if there is continuity to ground.

Build request for power shut off switch_98-02

Good find. I don't think I have the space or skill to figure out where to mount that. I think the option posted from Owl Expedition might be the only thing that will work over on the battery side.

UZJ100 Battery, Alternator and Ground Cable Kits - "Big Three Cable Kit"

This kit was top notch, some photos below. I decided to replace these mostly because I installed a winch and was on an electrical kick. Cleaned up AUX power setup and added these ground cables. The thick cable from the engine hoist hook seems to be best run towards the front and then looped...

Build request for power shut off switch_98-02

Hey, I tried posting on some other forums and the closest I got to a solution was with owl expedition @Ramathorn15 who has the perfect part but is unfortunately not manufacturing them at this time. >>100 Series Land Cruiser and LX470 Accessory Tray -...

Ignition rod fixed but steering wheel misaligned

Oh gotcha, yeah might as well just have them try again. Can't imagine it could get much worse and it saves you the time. Third times the charm Shoot, yeah the paranoia runs deep on this issue at times. If i was a quick swap I'd reconsider. Maybe I should start doing some more research and...

Ignition rod fixed but steering wheel misaligned

I would just bring it back to them and be super polite and respectful but also insist that they just do the repair again until it's correct. Are you dealing with a known mechanic shop or just some local shop? Can you report on how you broke the ignition rod? I have a growing paranoia about...

Anything Alarming Here at First Glance?

No opinion from me without seeing underneath the vehicle along with the stuff that actually matters. No details on the lift? You're in NJ? If you have $27K to spend you have a lot of options......Start looking for rigs in Nevada and other southern rust free places for less $$ and just fly out...

    The OFFICIAL clunk/thunk driveshaft thread

Wayne, howareyanow, goodnyou? Shoot, I don't have much experience with the part time kit. I'd like to blame the aftermarket CVs but it sounds like they are beefy enough. So what, 2 year-ish and not too many miles and you're already clunking?

    The OFFICIAL clunk/thunk driveshaft thread

I went down the same path as you and then realized the obvious visual play in the cvs at the hubs. Did you replace with OEM ? Are you lifted ? Do you wheel hard ?

Which winch for an ARB Deluxe?

Oh, I don't know Warn well, I didn't realize the M12 is different / larger size than other 12k options with their brand. Looks beefy, how much does it weigh?

Which winch for an ARB Deluxe?

What model bumper is that, 3413190? Don't see why it would't work, what is your concern, fitmet? Have you checked the manual, if this is the right product number then see below. It just makes note of the need to rotate the gearbox lever thing. So make sure you go for a winch that has that...

Humming sound at air filter box

Trying to follow this vehicle history as it's confusing and your mechanic seems to be not much help...... You had transmission problems, you and the mechanic did a bunch of different things like trying more and less fluid but nothing helped. Eventually the problem was solved by rebuilding the...

Humming sound at air filter box

Interesting. I wonder why they removed the air cleaner box and hoses to do the front diff fluid exchange. You can drain and fill fluid from below without removing anything up above. You mentioned the suspect noise doesn't change much with engine revs. If something with the turbo was failing...

    Busted Brake Line ‘98

How did the line fail, was it rusted out?

Humming sound at air filter box

Weren't you also having transmission issues causing the vehicle to have no power, what did you find out? Was it a fluid level issue? As for the humming, you can't diagnose something like that over the internet, especially with no video or audio clips. You'll need to just get under the hood ...

Which winch for an ARB Deluxe?

You can tell by looking underneath and seeing if you have the subframe with a flat platform and winch mounting pattern. Few s***ty pictures below. What sold me on HF was ease of warranty. I get it, chances of failure are higher but the reality is noone is reporting massive failures and these...

Jarbidge or Bust - "Overlanding" Nevada 2015

Sounds like you guys had a wild trip, thanks for the details. I've done a bunch more research since I reached out and spressomon was able to provide some tips as well. My trip will be mid may but I'm not going to be able to hit Jarbidge this year, the focus will be the northern section of black...

    Valve Cover Gasket Question

Go easy, and after a turn or two backing it out, twist it back in. Spraying PB blaster as your doing this. It will help clear the threads and back it out easy. Most folks don't have any issues but you're right, IDK why it happens so much. Mine were all loose enough and you'll know right away...
