I"m planning on powder coating the same color as my Dissent bumper, Evo grey or equivalent. I'd do it myself but my wheels are nasty and I think the professional sandbasting and all that might be good. Wish there were some rims that fit/affordable/readily available. So if there are let us know!
Kinda hard to see with the compressor but from what I recall, I had a way harder time tucking the AHC wire than getting around the horn. My LC never had AHC though..
You have into it less than I paid for mine at 170k, came with lots of goodies I wanted though. It will need work, I suggest doing it yourself, I've used this site for figure out how to do all of it. Nice thing about a secondary rig is if you don't get it done before you need to go to work, just...
How are owners of this bumper feeling about the reverse lights and most of the taillights appearing to be blocked. I can't tell if that's a safety/legal issue. Really want this bumper, for now I'll just wait for my front.
You know I was confused about that because I noticed the flush mount is not an option for the SAE lights on their website, I called and they said it would fit with the d-series flush mount though.
How do the rigid fogs work in the cut outs? Trying to decide if I should get the Rigid SAE DOT lights for that position or if they are too offset to be used as a standard fog light (ie a little help for the crappy headlights).
Very nice putting it in a PDF so us late comers can see the pics! Are most people powder coating before they fit the bumper? I'm a day or so away from pulling the trigger on this bumper.
I'm with you that it's easy, I did go to the Home Depot and might have got all the right parts? Got confused with inside diameter/outside diameter but I know I need to clean the reservoir and I'm being lazy. On the plus side a installed a new antenna today and hopefully pill remember to put it...
I'm still trying to get around to doing the flush but I did top it off with fluid, I talked to the st(D)ealer on the phone and was quoted $150 for the hose, not sure we were talking about the same thing so I laughed and said no thanks. Mine doesn't make any noises though, but it does leak.
I was just reading the other thread you posted a bunch in, hilarious. I got the tray in, test fit the compressor and was reading about your manifold issues. I was probably gonna mount mine just like that on the bottom with the SS line running underneath, solenoid and air up line facing up. Looks...
Hey Mike, I'm trying to figure this our right now, I watched the youtube video but mine looks like yours with all those extra plugs, did you just jam them up against the fender after you put the tray in? I didn't want to start cutting up the jangled mess but doesn't look like the tray will fit...
Thanks for the replies everyone, gonna do the power steering flush at the same time since it's leaking a bit. I like the idea of the national luna kit. I wonder if it works both ways, say my aux battery is full from solar does it connect the and charge the main automatically?
Super helpful thread, wasn't really sure what I needed but Toyota quoted me $860 for the parts, yep.. Just gonna clean and flush the system and see if the PS from those hoses goes away.
Originally, I wanted to be able to run a fridge and not have to worry about it. That's a lot of lights but I wouldn't think you'd have any issue running that through your main battery as long as you don't leave it on for hours when the truck is off.
