Okay spent some time under the runner and transposed the harness from the left < > right solenoids and that did the trick. Glad it was an easy fix and this could be for reference for future oppps moments putting your 3rd gen together. PEACE OUT !
What's up folks. Just looking for clues where to look at. After driving my 5speed for over 200K with a cracked drain plug hole ( JB welded ) I finally sprung for a Marlin Crawler rebuilt unit and a new Aisin clutch BUT when I put everything together. NO 4H ! This tells me the actuator works...
I think my crusty Bilstein 5125 12 inch stroke are in need of a refresh. Well the fronts are older than the rear and it's on it's last leg ( how many legs are there anyways? LOL ) just trying to get a broad survey what everyone is running. I'm looking for something a bit more firm than a...
Thanks for all the positive input folks. The Marlin shoutout page was full of Ugga Duggas types LOL. But ya'all deserve a beer for sure. Tracked it down to a M12 1.25 pitch 50mm long bolt . Got spares for the trail (for me or others that may need it) 70 ft pounds of torque was the winner.
Tried to look for it online with no luck. Anyone have the legit Gooden-tight numbers for these 4 bolts each side? Just re-torquing all my under the rig bolts and such.
So I split my aluminum caster shim and didn't know what angle it was. Later on found out it was a 6 but I installed a 4 degree (steel). Any harmful effects having less than 2 degrees of a difference? BTW since I was wrenching anyway, I changed all the leaf bushings and DAYUM ! drives like a car...
How many rigs are in this Run ? Thinking of tagging along if ya'll don't mind. It's going to be me my 10 year old boy and 16 year old daughter. Nothing like starting a good wheeling trip with some good eattin' !
I'm debating if I even need 6 shooters. I have stock knuckles TG forged steering arms and Front Range ARP studs which I check torque more than the regular Joe. 120 ft lbs per stud full total of 480 ft lbs per steering arm. It only budged once on my first trip through the Rubicon but it's been...
To your knowledge and what you have ran across the trails what are the causes of the steering knuckle to fail. From what I read it's because folks just don't keep up torqueing the steering arms to the knuckle causing the studs to sheer. Any other causes out there asides from the one I described?
$150 takes it, new unused. Please PM me if your interested.

Howdy folks, just replaced the 2 donut style gaskets between the exhaust manifold and down pipe. I have search around and found that 46 ft lbs is the proper torque spec which seems a bit high. Just wanted to confirm with folks here that have worked on this part of your rig . Also if anyone has...
@Jetboy and gang. Thanks for the replies, photos and such. Sounds like a super fun time. so when is registration for the 2019 run going to be up :)? BTW how many days did it take to complete the trail during this event?
Thanks for moving the Pappy, The truck is an 84 regular cab with a 22R. I think they were just trying to improve from a stocker carb thats why the Weber came into play. Talking to a few folks tell me that the main reason they all have 22RE was they wanted to stay away from carb type engines...
Howdy folks first post , doing a bit of research on a mini truck that caught my interest. I was wondering what the consensus was with folks that have come across or driven rigs with Weber carbs. My secondary question is, how difficult is it to drop a EFI system completely removing the carb setup?
