Builds Hj75 Restoration - Help needed / wanted

OK question time. I'm having more trouble with the Edic so I installed a manual override cable. Has anyone installed a momentary switch to the Edic motor and used it to throw the arm forward? Thoughts?

Put in some tiedown rails today. They really are useful and make it safer / easier to have the canisters in the back. Also tested out the tray lights, which are a little brighter than I anticipated, but definatley worth the effort to install!

I'm looking for a little bit of luxury. Does anyone know a steering wheel that will bolt straight. Leather or wood?

Little update. I have been battling with some wiring problems over the last month and reading through old forum post to fix EDIC problems. Managed to find the earth problem (finally) and installed all the wiring for the dash and tray LEDs. Only a couple of small things to do now, which is...

Here is the tachomoter sensor, which had the wires snapped off. I drilled out the top, soldered new wires in, heat shrunk the wire and put black sealant over the top to keep it protected

Bolted down the tray and went for a test drive around the block and into our small paddock at home. It's so so much smoother with some weight in the back. It seems to be running really well, however I have some gauges to fix. The lads are coming around, under the promise of free beer, to help...

Update: So I cut out the box lid and redid it so that the tub can be mounted correctly over the wheels. Sprayed the primer and raptor liner. Here are the before and after photos

I'm with you @deadhead7 It would have annoyed me if the tyres did not line up. After much staring and thinking, I have a solution for the box lid, which should work.

Next question Question time... So the box lid in my tub strikes the cab if I have it sitting on the mounts correctly, which means I need to pull the tray back about 30mm. (1.5 inch) Visually I think it is OK and the gap is not to bad on the cab, it's just the clearance of the rear tire arch on...

Question. What is everyone's thoughts on doing a 2" lift on the front to level out the truck? I know it will level with load, but it's not loaded all the time

Update: Went for a test drive late last week around the block and the shifter came off in my hand when I was in 4th! New cap arrived quickly, which was great.
