What did you source the hood scoop from? Looks great, I had considered this for sure.
In traffic yesterday and it was 90 degrees out, I had 155-160 intake temp, crazy hot.
Are you running the stock radiator? I have the stock rad and a good dual fan set up.
thanks for your input
I did a Ls swap a year ago, this last week it was about 90 degrees outside and I got stuck in traffic for hours. Finally when I got moving barely would run, had to pull over, opened hood looked around found nothing wrong. Let it cool for 5 min, restarted fine, sat in traffic more, happened...
I did a 5.7 corvette engine, with RV cam and Truck intake manifold. I am getting 12.5-13.5, but I have a hard time keeping my foot out of it.
I raced a G63 AMG, It was very close to 100 mph... Mine has 33" and 2.5 lift
I have replaced all the lines, some in stainless as well. I'm going to try the LSPV next, seems like that could be it. Seems like removing could be the best option.
1991 fj80 I’m seriously frustrated. I live in a fairly hilly neighborhood. And but the time I get to the bottom of the hill my pedal is almost to the floor and brakes are hot. I go slow, I don’t hold them the whole time, regulate speed, I’m not riding the brake. Yesterday when out in the woods...
Well i have put 180 miles on my LS Swap. I did a slightly built 5.7 Corvette Alloy engine with a 4L60E trans and Marks Adapters. Runs super strong. I just got the AC lines made and filing it now. Thank you to all that have posted in the Treads, could of not done it without your posts.

I plan to stick with the 33". I use it to go skiing, play in the sand and general SUV stuff. I am not a big off roaded, but do want have capabilities, but I also drive it to work everyday...
I have a 91 FJ80, that I am just finishing my LS swap in. It has a OME lift kit on it now, it is an old one.
What is the best option, would like a 3" lift. I have ARB bumpers and winch as well.
I am running 33" tire
thanks
I am using a 4l60e trans. I assumed the transmission would have the PNSS in it. I am using the GM ECU to send the start signal to starter.
The Dakota digital box has a high output, that won't work on my tach?
I have a 4L60e transmission. I assuemed the transmission would have that built in. I am using the GM ecu to give the start signal to starter.
Guess I will find a dash, The Dakota has a high out put, that won't work?
I am finishing up my LS Swap in my 91 Fj80. I drove it around the block, pretty exciting!. My plan to use a Dakota tack adapter for the stock tach. I found the wire on the back of the dash and hooked up the adapter in several different ways. Best result was the Tach would come to life at...
