    Huh, I just checked out that rock auto link and noticed that the csf 2709 ( the radiator I just used) has instructions to use a “mini 13 psi” cap? Is that different than the oem cap for the 3fe? Could that be why I am running into problems?

    Oh man.. I know Murray does have a lifetime warranty, but I would rather not be replacing it every year.... but maybe that will be true for a csf as well. I am still hoping someone has another radiator option out there

    A weak spot in that radiator, right next to the same weak spot in the last one! I would love to try a new brand. Murray really sketches me out. Anybody have any luck with spectra? And as far as this potential cap issue goes, I should be fine just installing a fresh oem cap, right?

    Good thinking, I’ll check to it’s mounting and look to see if there is something on the hood hitting it. But, the silver spot is from where the rad fluid sat overnight from the leak and ate away the paint.. same thing happened to the old radiator but a lot more paint was ate up

    You say I went 3 psi above spec, how do you figure that? Was my cap matched wrong to begin with ?
