What did you do with your 3rd gen Tacoma today?

Nice. Too bad they don't make one for the manual transmission version

Are all 3rd Gen Taco owners..

They didn't understand the meaning of the sticker.... YUGE difference btwn the cruiserheads and the current Tacoma fan bois. I think age has a lot to do with it and most of the "builds" were specced while signing paperwork at the dealer vs the effort that most have put into their Cruisers...

Added a 23 TRD Sport to my driveway but

I refuse to wear skinny jeans, they're just miserable. Over the past year, I've been borrowing pickups from various friends/family for projects around the house and I have had enough. After a few months of searching and searching, I narrowed my search down to 3 trucks, a 2010 with 155k, a 2012...

    Local For Sale/Wanted Section!

No affiliation but figured I would share. 89 fj62, 5k, Hatboro PA, looks a little crusty but maybe worth a look https://www.facebook.com/share/7rWGeZKG7kpEmxJR/?mibextid=kL3p88

    Time for a Taco

Going to head back this saturday and see if I can strike up a deal on trading in my 328d wagon. I couldn't stop smiling while driving the Tacoma. It has the same old Toyota feel as my 91 x-cab but actually has enough power to merge with highway traffic.

    Time for a Taco

To all who replied, test drove a 2010 quad cab today with 152k on it. No real rust I could see, frame looks like it was replaced. The hitch is a bit crusty but everything else is clean. Mechanically it seems solid and good to go. The price makes my head spin a bit, 17k for a 14 year old truck...

    Time for a Taco

Another question regarding bedsize, is it worth it to find one with a 6ft bed or is the 5ft bed acceptable? It'll be used for around the house projects/landscaping/etc and it would be nice to be able to put my motorcycle in the back if need be (or bring more home!)

    Time for a Taco

Thanks for the info. I was unaware of change in frame coating on 10 and newer. There is an 11 not far from me, 6spd, trd that looks fairly clean (some surface rust on the floors from underneath) but frame looks good. The dealership "coated" it so I need to look at it in person closely. The...

    Time for a Taco

Hello Taco lovers! I currently have a 94 Landcruiser and a diesel BMW wagon. Work commute has changed and so has my to do list at home and I find myself looking for a pickup and will be selling the 328d. I was offered a 2500 Ram diesel with a 6spd but its awful for daily driving. Now I'm...

Factory Bumper Swingout Tire Carrier Build, ditched for 4x4 Labs Bumper Build

Looking good! You're inspiring me to get off my :deadhorse: and make something. I hate having my spare under the truck

    Local For Sale/Wanted Section!

Hi all. Selling what's left of a 97 triple locked Landcruiser. Rear axle is complete, front is missing the center section, wiring harness is intact minus the switch 🙄. Engine (was partly disassembled by dealer before I got it, head is beat), transmission and remaining drive line is there...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

    Right, right.

    Oil pressure sensor/switch wiring harness

Ever since I bought my 94 5 years (60k miles) ago, the oil pressure gauge hasn't work. New sending unit, cleaned the terminals etc. It's finally bothering me enough to dig further into it. I pulled the wiring harness that goes to the sender from my 97 parts truck and it looks like someone cut...

Intermittent CEL 12, 25,26, after encounter with large puddle solved?

1994 Landcruiser 153k recent tuneup at 145k, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, NTK O2 sensors. Like the title states, I drove (94 FZJ80 US Spec) through a large puddle (blind turn, oncoming traffic a ton of snow melt) a week or so ago which made a spectacular splash but the truck started running rough...
