    Ok I've been driving the 100 on and off for a few weeks now. I don't think it's an overdrive issue, I think this thing just isn't shifting into fourth gear. The transmission fluid is pretty brown. Is my transmission bad?

    It is between the 2 hot marks after a 10 minute drive but it's not red not even close. More brown than red.

    I am a decent mechanic. But right now I just have my driveway and very little time due to two small children and a busy work schedule. It's definitely doing it all the time. Even on a downhill. CDL is not on. I will check the ATF level today.

    How many more miles do you have to go? How far have you already driven? If you have oil pressure and youre not overheating, and you're half way home already, I would just send it and keep going

    I couldn't really hear the pinging in your video. I thought I heard exhaust. An exhaust leak will make a puttering, tapping sound when you accelerate. I would guess exhaust manifold leak. If it's more of a faint springy type metal ping when you accelerate, it could be detonating too early...

    Mine came on because I broke my spiral cable. I've replaced the spiral cable and hooked everything up So I think it should be good to go now. Of course, I replace it with a used unit so who knows
