So, I went looking around for skinny 35" tires - again. I go looking for options every few years. I like my 35" Duratrac tires in the winter, but they're a bitch to keep balanced and I have lost two to the skinny sidewalls.
Google pulled these out of the ether...
I did a brief search and didn't find anything here on the TSL SX2-65. Sorry if this winds up being a repeat thread.
I've worn out my Duratracs (315/75R16) and am evaluating options. I webstumbled into Interco's site and found the listing for their TSL SX2-65 tires. They're 35.2" diameter...
So - I have a scenario coming up where my 80 will need to simultaneously:
1. Be filled to the gills inside with a weeks worth of camping gear safely.
2. Carry a 14' canoe and a 12.5' kayak.
3. Carry 3 bicycles.
4. Pull a 3500 pound Boy Scout trailer.
1. Solved with Milford barrier - gear...
So, things have been very quiet here. I haven't run a casual gathering in several years. Being a Boy Scout leader has consumed a majority of my weekends. From history, things only seem to work out if planned -months- in advance.
The purpose of having a meet-up would be to check out the...
O2 sensors are easy enough to get shipped in. Does anyone have a lead on getting replacement plugs & wire leads for them though? An exhaust leak melted one of my plugs off. It got hard wired and hasn't worked right since. The other one's wire got to where it was eaten by the drive shaft...
Kind of a sideways Craigslist find.

In the pictures he has some relatively nice looking Toyota branded seat covers on all 3 rows.
Does anyone know where these can be obtained?
With twin 12 year old boys, my adventuring time has been fairly well consumed with Boy Scout camping trips. That shouldn't stop our local area folks from getting together though.
If nothing else comes up, I should be able to set up another hot dogs in the park get together at Mahoney - likely...
Please sticky.

So - to my understanding - it's a royal pain to import a vehicle into the US on your own *unless* it is 25+ years old.
According to Wikipedia, the 80 series was produced in 1990 with the 1HZ and 1HD-T engines - but just not for the US.
So - I was wondering...
Was the 1990 with a diesel...
OK, so I've had the outside hatch handle fail once before on one of my trucks.
No big deal, I've bought the most likely broken part as detailed in this thread:

My local stealership charged me $5.01+tax for...

Looking for the black surround for the far RH dash vent to go in a '96 Landcruiser.
Also, looking for the little knock-out coin holders for the center console in both Gray (2) and Oak (1).
Other year parts fine if compatible.
Thank you.
Well - any ideas out there?
If we don't get any rain we could go play on the Plate.

That opportunity is pretty rare.
I bought my Grey '96 about 9 years ago. The OEM springs and shocks were fairly well toast. So I swapped them out for an OME heavy 2.5" lift setup kit from Slee.
Well, the truck is now 16 years old. It was only 7 when I swapped out the worn out OEM suspension components. So the OME has now...
I saw a modified 80 last night in Omaha that I hadn't seen before.
It had been painted a desert sand color and has an expedition 3/4 length roof rack on it. I spoke briefly to the polite young man driving it. He said it belonged to his father.
So - if you're out there, nice truck!
These are 'new to me'.

I did not make those as advertising links. Apparently that is something the system is now doing.
I understand the needs for additional revenue resources, but there is no way to distinguish those links from a user-created and intentional...
