Thank you. I had disconnected it to see if it could be tightened. Hooked it back up now. Appreciate the help. I’m wondering if it might be from the water pump. I did replace the heater t’s about a year ago but all those look right still.
So I have a little coolant leak I believe. Colorless, drys up after a few days. Obviously I’m not a mechanic but I’m trying to know my land cruiser inside and out. Is this piece supposed to move freely? Looks like it might be leaking around it. Thanks for any help!
That diagram is much better! Thank you! It appears the "upper retainer" is on the top below the frame (with the coller) and the retainer next to the nut with the coller up. I have it installed currently with the lower portion correct, but have the collered retainer on the bottom with the coller...
I should be able to post some pictures tomorrow. So if that is the frame mount, which I ate it looks like, course it appear that the rubber bushing goes directly on it per the diagram? I know that's not right, but it appears that way to me
So I have purchased rear shocks and have been able to get them off using a ratcheting 22mm wrench, but I am having issues with the retainers. The shocks that I removed were aftermarket. Can anyone post a picture of the order they are supposed to go in? The blown up diagrams haven't helped...
I have done my heater Tee's, changed all 4 shocks and sway bars linkages, and installed a new stereo with 4 speakers with an aftermarket sub. Also had to replace my antennae. Its been a busy week! But I couldn't have done it without the FAQ section here.
I have a 2001 Land Cruiser, and a 2017 Tundra. As a daily driver I would take the LC everyday. But I need a truck for some of the heavier hauling and towing that I do. Just depends on what you are using it for.
I'm debating painting my bumpers the same color as my body. Question is, is there any advantage to taking the bumpers off and using a harbor freight spray gun vs a rattle can? I have an air compressor. I am debating duplicolor vs Touch Up Paint and accessories | AutomotiveTouchup. Anyone have...
Good to know. I am looking at doing the front shocks first, then the rears. I have a 22 mm ratcheting wrench so hopefully I won't have to drill holes. Do you know if the nut is included on the front shocks? I would assume, but that usually gets me in trouble.
Sorry newbie here, looking at changing out my shocks which are not currently OEM. Do you need 6 washers and 2 flange with each shock? Or is it for the front set? Also, does anyone know the part number for the top bolt? The part number I keep finding says it has been discontinued. Thanks for...
I was debating on installing an old subwoofer and amp in my 100 series, but had a question. I have both an old fosgate punch 40x2 and an mtx 2160 amplifier laying around. I also have 2 mtx thunder 5000 12 inch speakers. I was debating on just installing one of them, but it's an 8 ohm speaker...
Thanks guys. I wasn't even sure if they would fit, just debated on trying them since they are just collecting dust. I think I will just go with the OEM though. Are you guys all drilling the holes? I'm pretty sure these are the stock shocks so worried about getting them off. I do have a 22...
I have a tundra that I upgraded the suspension so I have a set of the bilstein 4600 laying around. Well these fit my 2001 land cruiser? Or would I be better off buying the ome shocks from Toyota? I know the one aren't very expensive, but thought I might be able to try the bilstein since they are...
