In this video, Mihir offers another way to convert an ICE to EV.
"Leaving in half the engine saves you the time, money and effort it would take to pull out the engine and machine out motor mounts and brackets. The converted car uses a single 6kW, 72V BLDC motor connected to a 350A Kelly...
Has anybody ever upgraded the single speaker in the glove box? I kind of like radio, and I am not really interested in bluetooth options right now, as I prefer that it is wired.
@Living in the Past @brian thank you. I just bought a top and am now trying to figure it all out and buy the right screws and washers. Do you place rubber washers before the stainless washers?
Can anyone post a picture of how this attaches? I see the four bolt holes on the hardtop metal that sits a few inches from the rain gutter, but here is a picture of my windshield
Thanks @R.K. for selling me the hardtop yesterday. Lots of work to restore it, but it was fun coming down and meeting you and your neighbor. Stay safe!
I just checked again. There is a manual lever in the middle that does allow me to move it forward and backward. Unfortunately, it was already in the position in the back. Hence, I need some more room. Will look more closely at the bottom of the driver seat as well
The 2015 does not move fore aft but it does manually angle the seat back. Unfortunately this is not enough to help with seat position. If the 2017 has ability to move the seat itself, maybe I can move it manually.
Is there anybody who has modified the back of the front seat to allow the second row passenger space for their toes to fit under the driver or front row seat?
I normally drive, but on family trips, my newly minted teenage son is starting to complain. In addition, I can't even really...
Am reviving this decade old thread. Now that we are in the smartphone Era, maybe somebody has some pictures of this process of mating hardtop to aqualu tub?
@curtislow Do you have any pictures of how you solved this problem?
I have an Aqualu tub and am thinking about how to install.
@S4Cruiser warned me about this issue.
I am in the same boat as you @RWBeringer4x4. I bought a 1974 FJ40 in September 2018, and I live 60 miles from rausch. I rented a uhaul auto transport and bought some straps as the 33" tires were too large for the regulation uhaul. I towed the fj40 to Rausch and went on greens with some friends...
PM sent
Do you have the header for the hatch also?
I definitely need the rounded glass as well
Is there a dent in the lower driver side of the hatch or is that a shadow?
Obviously pictures of rust will help
Thanks in advance for more pictures and communication.
