I am heading down to Moab in a couple of weeks for the first time. Bringing the family for spring break mostly to mountain bike but I would love to get the 200 out on some adventures as well. I am pretty green to off roading so plan on keeping it mellow-ish.
Any/all tips, tricks, suggestions...
Went up skiing today and was drooling over some sprinter van setups in the lot. I work from home with a lot of flexibility and am pondering setting up my LC to work from the parking lot between runs. Thinking I would need a second battery to run starlink plus some sort of laptop and second...
I pulled the door sill trim this morning on both sides and it is dry in there. Rained a bunch last night and the sunroof is also draining properly now. All systems seem to be working normally so I guess I will call it good to go.
After our first big rain up here last week I went our to start my LC. It would crank but wouldn't start so I had it towed to my local shop. Here is the info from their report
No start no codes checked ecu voltage, ecu Reference voltage, fuel pressure, crank and Cam sensors all passed. Then it...
I bought my LC from them a few years back. Took it to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection and it passed with flying colors. It had a good carfax history and was a southern owned vehicle. Has been a very reliable vehicle and with similar due diligence I would buy from them again.
Thanks for doing the math for me.
I plan on putting down some tarps to mitigate the mess but it is also a vehicle that gets used for a variety of messy endeavors.
Wanting to shuttle firewood out to our cabin in my stock 2008 LC. Will mostly be seasoned hemlock. Anyone have an inkling as to how much I can get in there before I start hitting weight issues?
Recently got a new car as my DD so my 2008 LC will probably go undriven for stretches at a time between adventures. From a mechanical standpoint should I still take it for a drive every so often to keep everything humming along?
I ended up going with the North Shore Rack over the Recon for a couple of reasons.
1. Weight- My wife also rides and needs to transport bikes on her vehicle so being able to switch the rack between vehicles was important. The NS rack is relatively light compared to the recon and moving it...
I bought my LC earlier in the year and was initially underwhelmed with the cool box. I thought it was a giant waste of space and an unnecessary feature. Well this weekend I did my first long road trip in the LC from Western Washington down to Eastern Oregon and I am converted.
I loved having...
I live near Duvall and would be into a group drive somewhere fun and moderately rowdy (terrain wise) I got my LC earlier this year. It is stock except for RW wheels and KO2s.
I just put a set of KO2 on my LC from stocks along with a set of RW wheels. The KO2s are an amazing tire and i am really happy with them both on and off pavement.
I had a set of the Toyo AT2s on my previous 4Runner and also really liked them . I thought hard about sticking with the Toyos for...
I purchased my '08 LC over the winter and when I went to leave the dealership (not Toyota) the car wouldn't start. Through some stressful trial and error I was able to determine that the second fob they gave me was somehow interfering with the whole system. I spoke with someone at Toyota who...
