Can you expand on this? Really cool swap @Drewthecarguy ! I cannot believe how fast you were able to get it together from start to finish. Honestly, I have never seen a DIY swap of any kind completed in less than year.
Is that a crease in the front fender? What does the paint look like under the wrap? Sounds like timing belt needs to be done. If the paint is not in good shape and that is a crease in the fender, I would be around 7k ish tops. Might see a small crease in the rear drivers door as well.
The hybrid is what I was actually talking about. Have a friend in the car business that cannot get one, even with connections to a couple of toyota dealerships
Got the call this morning on the leaking fluid. 300 in parts, they want me to cover that. 6 hours of labor that they will cover. Not covered under warranty. This morning my wife said she will be heartbroken if she has to get another car. I'm in a bad spot on this one. Here's a picture I took of...
Ours is a 2019, bought it with 50k ish miles this summer. We have only put about 6k miles on it since we bought it.
-Timing chain/cam phaser rattle on startup- dealership had it two weeks but got it done and it was covered under original warranty. No loaner.
-Broke down after we picked it up...
Crazy to see this thread! We too are with a Navigator in the shop thats a 4th gen as well. Only owned it a few months and this it's third trip to the shop. Left us stranded twice. Let us know what you decide to get, we are having a hard time figuring something comparable out.
In all fairness he is talking about a 2006 and yours is a 2005. 06-07 sell for a premium, and for good reason. He also referred to it as a land cruiser, and yours is an LX. Land Cruisers are well known to go for a premium over a similar LX, I will denote for not a good reason IMO. Either way...
No doubt @dirtymotoman I would do the same if I were selling one. I think most of those types will not own them for long, and probably endup selling at a loss. These are not new cars, they are complex and need a ton of maint and upkeep. If I were a flipper, I would be buying them up and throwing...
Thats funny money pricing. If it is your perfect color combo and is exactly how you would build it and money is no concern, then buy it. Otherwise, there are much better deals to be had even in this market.
