Interesting stuff. I have a 2016. My rotors are very hot to the touch (can't touch for more than a half second) after parking at home and often have just a hint of singe smell to them. I do city driving, and my last mile is stop and go through a residential area. I'm not sure if this is normal...
I was fiddling with the rear seat screens the other day and thinking about how poor 480p resolution looks when trying to navigate a Fire Stick. And then I realized the actual on-screen menus don't look that bad. The text is actually fairly sharp.
And then it dawned on me: I think our dumpy...
I have the same problem in my '16. I had the TSB applied, and it did not help with the 1 to 2 hesitation and shifting after coasting. My $0.02 on this issue is that the truck is shifting to 1 when it should be hanging out in 2. When you press the accelerator, it revs and then shifts abruptly...
Sorry if that was misleading. To rephrase, it felt like 100% of the braking performance occurred with 50% of available pedal travel with stock tires. The result was that the brakes felt overly sensitive or grabby. With the larger tires, braking performance undoubtedly decreases. But the...
I really enjoy the KO2s, and this is coming from someone that drives 95%+ in the city. Tire noise increase is present but negligible. I'm a stickler for fixing rattles and other noises, and I have no concerns with these tires. The ride is firmer, but the truck wallows less on uneven roads...
Bonus fact: the wireless charging pad in the 2016+ 200 is 5 watts. It's not the quickest way to charge a phone. The iPhone X and iPhone 8/8+ support wireless charging at up to 7.5 watts, but you must purchase a wireless charger that is specifically designed (chipped) to work with Apple products...
Quick caveat: the older 120V iPad chargers are only 5 watts--even though they are the larger, roundish chargers. The only way to know for sure is to read the ultra-tiny print on the charger and confirm the output is 5V 2.4A. If you have had numerous Apple devices in your life, you likely have a...
The built-in USB charger on 2016+ only supports the basic USB specification of 5 watts. Newer iPads are shipped with a 12 watt charging brick, and some may even support charging up to 24 watts (via USB-C to lightning adapter).
In short, the 12V plug is more powerful. The 12V plug coupled with...
I know, that's a bold statement. But let's talk about this.
Along with other members, I have lodged my complaints with the 8-speed transmission. It shifts abruptly; first gear is too low; it hunts between 1st and 2nd after coasting, etc. All of these complaints were based on a completely...
I mentioned in a separate thread that my dealer replaced my head unit to resolve this issue. It seemed a little excessive. The new head unit works fine. The navigation distances that can be shown in the center dash are now correct, too. They were previously off by a factor of 10. For example...
I have a 2016. I reported a similar problem to my dealer, and they replaced the head unit. It fixed an issue with the nav mileage being displayed incorrectly in the dash (off by a factor of 10) and allegedly helped with the reboot/freezing issues. I think it has frozen once in 6 months since then.
Bumping an old thread because the link above is dead. Does anybody have photos of powder coated 2016+ wheels? For those that have done this, how does the powder coating hold up over time?
