    Land Cruisers Direct Status?

I've been watching this thread for awhile, and I tried reaching Steve early on when I lost contact as everyone did. I did a deal years ago with Steve, it took plenty of blind trust and commitment on both ends, and the deal worked through. It was very challenging technically, like a moon landing...

Parting Out 2005 HZJ79 LHD two-door cab dash, interior

I'm sure I have that bracket. I would sell it off with either the entire steering column or dash. Isn't it an affordable bracket as new part?

    Land Rover to Land Cruiser

I would have to say there's probably zero chance that thousands of landrovers were used in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that they survived. IED's were their downfall there, rather than any terrain or mechanicing. Heavier vehicles than LC and LR were used later in the conflicts there.

    Land Rover to Land Cruiser

Yes, I'll just go and un-own my three Land Rovers and two Toyotas for that consumer reports article. My grandmother used to read those same CR reviews as well in print back in the day. Saying that Land Rover is bad, Toyota good, is the same as saying John Deere good, never buy Kubota. It lacks...

    Land Rover to Land Cruiser

We're quoting 'consumer reports?', on stuff you Googled? Yes, you shouldn't be buying a used Land Rover, a tractor, trailer, tablesaw, or anything else that may eventually need maintenance or eventual repair. A new vehicle with dealer warranty may be a better choice for you during the warranty...

    Land Rover to Land Cruiser

If it's a well maintained Series or Defender, it won't fail. If it's neglected, and poorly maintained, you'll have problems. It doesn't go and break just because the logo on the front isn't Toyota.

Parting Out 2007 HZJ79 cab, front clip.

Bump on this one. I don't want to get into a 'Arizona or NM contest' over how much rust the cab has, or doesn't have. They have no rust in the desert. It has an inch square area on both bottom edges of windscreen where corrosion has perforated, and another inch square area at the rooftop, with...

It is an LHD truck cab and firewall. The firewall is viable steel.

Parting Out  2005 HZJ79 LHD two-door cab dash, interior

Surplus interior and dash from a LHD 2005 HZJ79. Cab steel, doors, seats are unavailable. Some surface rust on some of the steel dash parts, will need refinishing. Some oxidation on some plastic parts, will need polishing, a marine plastic deoxidizing polish works best. Send PM with your part...

IH I’m about to buy a Scout ii HELP PLZ!!!

He saw it out in a field and is laughing at our posts. He probably has a new black BMW in his driveway. Adding polish as we type.

IH I’m about to buy a Scout ii HELP PLZ!!!

You're taking on alot here. Again, not much on this forum for that. I would be more into a pre-1960's IH pickup cab and chassis, as I wouldn't have as much of this rust to deal with. I remember a few of these surviving up to the late 1990's, but not many past that. While it may seem cool, it...

    Cat thieves strike again !

Not insurance fraud. I miss that one there. It might violate some state or local rules, or EPA, but if you cut them out yourself and weld in straight pipe and blow smog, not insurance fraud. You can sell that catalytic converter off too. Once you go and claim it as stolen, with a police...

    Cat thieves strike again !

Definitely want to weld repair that, not insurance. They could come by again tomorrow for it, and at least they'd steal an old repaired one. You'll want to call the police and file a report. At a minimum, it will add to statistics for your local area, maybe they'll add lighting in eventually...
