Update 9_20_21
Over the weekend I replaced the fuel return piping and sealing washers. I had previously replaced all the soft lines. Retorqued the injectors to spec. Replaced all the copper crush washers in the system.
Starting issue is resolved. Good start from cold now with no stumbling or...
Thanks Nick., I appreciate that. For some reason the Toyota just never made me love it. I like the truck, and since it's all dialed in, it a good driver. I just don't seem to have any real attachment to it.
Now, that stupid air leak is about to drive me bonkers. About 2 months ago the first...
After much deliberation and back and forth, I am selling the truck. I just do not hardly drive it anymore and it's just sitting. I have already ruined one $300.00 battery by forgetting to keep it on the trickle charger.

Price $19,500.00
I have not been watching prices, so tell me if I am way off base here. I just know where I am in the truck and it's more than that for sure.
Let's start with my build thread:

I am using a 38MM. I suspect Don's is slightly big because he has the 2LT motor. I have never cross referenced the hoses between the 2lt and the LTE, but mine doesn't fit as tight as his at 38MM. I have a 92 LTE engine.
Well, it's possible. They sometimes don't suffer from catastrophic failure. It just progressively gets worse.
Honestly, if it were mine and it wasn't running hot, or bubbling the overflow tank when idling, I would just drive it and keep a close eye on it.
Mine gave me a good long run where I...
Odds of a traditional "blown" head gasket are slim with these engines. Issue is the head itself cracking. So, you don't get the traditional oil/water mix most associate with a blown head gasket. What you get is combustion gases in the coolant. Lot's of air in the coolant is generally a symptom...
Tie rods can definitely cause sway. But, based on your description I doubt it's that.
My guess is going to be tires. You could have a sidewall failing allowing the tire to wallow as it moves side to side. This can cause some very strange feeling feedback.
If you aren't getting any chatter or...
I've been definitely been quiet for a bit. Just busy with various other pursuits.
I agree there are so many options I have ran across that we just don't have access to.
I really like how yours turned out. Hopefully you have found something that will give you loads of service without getting...
Too much free time Nick!
My Dobinsons are doing the same. And after having them on the truck for a couple of years now I am finding the quality might be lacking just a bit. I actually hardly drive my truck and the powdercoat has failed like crazy. And they have sagged more than I would like...
100% percent agree with @roscoFJ73 's and @roma042987 diagnosis. I have seen ,in very cool, high elevation ,downhill, engine overev situations an alarming amount of white smoke billowing out of an otherwise healthy engine. It's just not hot enough to burn the addl fuel the overrev from engine...
Maybe I will use that if I ever sell mine! :flipoff2:Good sales pitch. It will go a million miles. All it needs is regular scheduled head replacement every 200K. I can't prove my owners manual doesn't say that. It's in Japanese.
Before you give up, maybe do some reading and figure out what you want to do. Many of us have owned those trucks for years and they can be a perfectly fine vehicle with some tweaks.
Check out posts from @GTSSportCoupe , @JimmyPrado , @AirheadNut ,and many others I am sure I am forgetting. Lot's...
X2 on Hagerty. Best way to insure any odd or hard to replace vehicle.I have had them all and they are by far the least trouble if you actually have to use your insurance. The major insurance companies do not even know what they are insuring and the adjuster they send to look at it will know even...
X2, Those things will make themselves a permanent feature if you don't use a proper grade. And, yes, you can get high heat antisieze. I use it on all my exhaust stuff on everything I work on. Makes future work much easier.
You aren't really looking for a grade to handle a lot of stress as much...
I am going to guess you are getting a charging spike of some sort. I have actually seen a similar issue. I got my alternator really wet and it was overcharging pretty dramatically for a bit. Same results less the buzzer because all of mine are unplugged.
I would start at voltage regulator. It...
