FJ45 conversion - reality check and advice sought

Thanks for the input. My pockets aren't deep, it was more of a slow bleed over 2-3 years. I know I'll never get out what I've got in it, that's not the game, I just want to be able to go on the Froyo run. Can't do that as is.

FJ45 conversion - reality check and advice sought

I don’t have the skills for the body and paint, but I’m not afraid of the other stuff. Frame rails down is more or less brand new in 2020-21, already disc converted. I agree with the waste sentiment but at some point, if I can’t get the family in it, and can’t get much money for it (relatively)...

FJ45 conversion - reality check and advice sought

If there was something out there, I would in a heartbeat except it's kind of a needle in a haystack, plus I know where I stand with my frame/chassis/suspension/brakes etc. A known quantity. I've had my eye out for a while, maybe a WTT ad would be in order. I left them a message today, asked if...

FJ45 conversion - reality check and advice sought

Thanks in advance for bearing with me. Here is the short version of a long story: I bought an FJ45 off of BaT in 2017 link here . Needed some stuff done, got a case of while-your-in-there and 50k later, it's a great truck, but doesn't fit my family's need (married 4 kids) and I would like to...

For Sale So Cal. - 1964 FJ45 SWB

I am 6'1 and 225, wife is 6'2 and 165, it's great for an hour, fine for 2 hours, 3 hours would be a stretch, and 4 hours you are most likely stopping for fuel anyways.

70 is a pipe dream, but 60 is just fine. Its the original gauge cluster, so no tach, but it's not screaming.

For Sale  So Cal. - 1964 FJ45 SWB

Our FJ45 didn't sell on BaT in November, but we are still interested in selling/trading and moving into something for family friendly (we are 6 now). All the information I could think of is in the BaT ad linked here , but if anyone has more specific questions that weren't there, I can dig them...

Wanted Looking for SWB Porsche 911 coupe

Ive been there before. They wouldn’t let you take the car to a shop, you had to inspect it there. I can definitely take a look at it, I don’t remember if they let you drive it either!

Wanted Looking for SWB Porsche 911 coupe

I can recommend a couple great shops, depending on where in LA, and I can put eyes on if it’s in reasonable distance.

Don’t discount a 912! Been commuting in mine on and off for 5 years. May drop in a 911 motor some day.

    Wiper blade help

I feel like such a dunce. I am trying to change the wiper blade on my FJ45 (1963 build - still has the old style blades) and I can't get the hook on the blade over the slot on the wiper arm. Theres just not enough clearance. Is there a trick to this that I am missing? Thanks.
