P0401 EGR and P0130 Bank 1 Sensor 1 errors - which to replace first, on the off chance that one is creating the other?

Thanks much. Based on that I'm going to at least order the O2 sensors today and get those coming.

P0401 EGR and P0130 Bank 1 Sensor 1 errors - which to replace first, on the off chance that one is creating the other?

Hi All, '97 LX450 w/403k miles and no maintenance history before 370k mi. It's been a great vehicle so far. I'm getting a: P0401 exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected error, followed by a P0130 Bank 1 Sensor 1 error (details attached) Question - What are the chances that the...

SOLD 80 series Mint upper deck lid Atlanta GA

When I bought my 450 I didn't care for the look of the spoiler and removed it. Turns out not a moment too soon, as I found significant rust underneath both mounts.

For Sale LS400 Steering Wheel from a 1999 (will not fit an 80)

'96 97 98 LEXUS LS400 and LX450 airbags are interchangeable, so possibly the wheels are too. I intend to test this theory soon.

    Simple ignition cutoff switch?

Since I really don't drive it that much, an excellent idea as an interim solution. Thank you.

    Simple ignition cutoff switch?

Is there an easily accessible wire under the dash that I can use to disable the '80s ignition? I'm thinking of putting a hidden switch somewhere as an additional measure of theft prevention. The shift/selector position circuitry seems to be a good candidate, but is there something more...

    AC Clutch bearing dimensions/specs?

Just confirming, is it 52mm OD x 30mm ID x 22mm W? I see this called out in the '100 series, but I'm sure I've seen it mentioned somewhere for the Denso in the 80s as well. Thanks

    *&%$# pinion nut

This was a really good thread.. I'd gotten to the end of the first page and I'm like, "Wait..is that all there is? DOES IT END UNNSOLVED??" Then I noticed the second page..

    wont shift out of park.

ih8mud is incredible. I just got stuck w/the same shifter issue in the driveway this morning and the first thread search offered up (this one) solved it. For me it was the fuse. I used my trailer yesterday and I'll bet the funky wiring on the trailer caused the issue. Thanks all for maintaining...

    Overheating suddenly today

Just a post-repair followup. Here's the bad No. 1 heater bypass hose w/the 2” split in it. The rupture is at the 12 o'clock position (which makes sense, since the head's heat is continually radiating downward onto it: 20181002_122354.jpg - Shared with pCloud I have a '97 LX450, but the ~$15...

Yep, that’s my first step today. I’m hoping such a sudden, complete loss of coolant means a hose..

Newbie Ques - Mystery vent line down behind left rear tire

Will flush it as suggested and will see if that's the end of it. re: Checking differential lubricant levels - I really appreciate Toyota making the rear/front diff and transfer case fill bolts all 17mm. On a Jaguar it would be 16mm/18mm and 7/8" (both diffs were about a quart low) 3.5 quarts...

Newbie Ques - Mystery vent line down behind left rear tire

OK, I see the Rear axle vent line BILT4ME's referencing - that's not it: IMG_1195.JPG - Shared with pCloud Man, metaphorically and literally, LC's have a lot of moving parts (not comparing it to a Jag yet, but..)! So, the gas tank's in the middle of the chassis? The only thing I can think of...
