The 80 front axle housing is prone to bending (where the knuckle ball meets the axle housing) when you start wheeling hard, especially when you have 37s-40s. Whether you're building a kitted out 80 for overlanding on 35s or building a crawler on 40s, adding a gusset to this section of the...
Golden crack, the waterfall on gold bar rim, and hells gate. I was only in Moab for all of 36 hours so we only got to do those two. I didn't run hell gate this time around since it poured rain right before we got there and after having to winch Max up I didn't feel like it was worth it. Ad Ive...
Went down to Moab this last weekend to meet up with some friends from Colorado for the tacomaworld rock therapy event. Almost busted a tie rod on Gold bar rim but had an awesome time.

The seeping grease is pretty common if you have recently lifted the truck. After living most of their life at one angle they tend to get a little pissy when you change that angle which happes when you lift. My passenger side had been leaking for some time and the boot finally blew last week...
You could say things got a little sideways today...

Did a complete overhaul of my front suspension on the 4runner last week to get it ready for a week of wheeling in Colorado with @JohnnyOshow22 and @ttFJC. Got it aligned Friday at 5pm and drove 700 miles to Denver leaving Saturday at 4am without issue.
New rack, tie rods, control arm...
Dang I don't know how I didn't notice that last night either when I was looking at the map. I think as the backup we just go check out some of the other trails in that area. There seems to be a pretty sizeable complex on that Western side of the tobacco roots
Either one of those scenarios works for me. Ill just shoot you a text mid Friday to see where I am as far as camping out goes. Evan was saying he wants to run the trail and then camp out Saturday.
If everything goes smoothly for me Friday I might be wanting to camp out. I have to weld Evans cab mount plates on and work on a bumper but could probably head towards Norris around 5 or 6.
I know this is short notice but figured that Ill put this out there for anyone interested. I know the club trail ride is scheduled for Sunday the 24th but the trail is still TBD but anyone who does decide to do this trail should still be able to make the club run if it happens.
@ttFJC and I are...
Today I went and ran Twin Lakes and the good news is that it is clear of snow! I ran it clear to upper Twin Lake and only had two off camber snow sections right before the first lake. There is a bypass for each of these but I anticipate that in a week they will be significantly smaller or gone...
