That's great, thank you. I ended up getting the Aisin rear sensor. After seeing this thread I'm gonna go ahead and buy the globes and two front height sensors too. I'm anticipating ahc failures soon.
Hey guys, I was told by my local shop I needed a rear height control sensor for my 02 lx470.
I was shopping online, should I get the AISIN or NTK? The NTK is about 300 bucks more.
My car has 125k miles and I love my ahc and would prefer to fix it with quality parts but AISIN is a good company...
Some nice weather we're having today. 02 LX with 2016 Tundra TRD Pro wheels, stock AHC, pretty much stock everything, 120k miles, still rides like a dream.
Did a lot of maintenance recently. Timing belt, water pump, seals, heater T's, steering pump and hoses, pretty much everything I could/had...
It's under my driver side intake manifold in that dark crack. I just happen to drop a bolt down there and I pulled up this stuff. Is this like an animal nest or insulation?

This tool is the only tool I have for seals and I've been messing up the old seal trying to get it out, any advice mudders?
Update* thank you everyone for the tip with the wood screws. They work so much better than the seal puller, lesson learned. I did damage the surface a bit, I cleaned it up...
I bought an ac compressor from Amazon and it says it fits my 02 lx470 but it arrived today and it looks a little different from the one on the car. The clutch is different. The new one is a denso 471-2201. I haven't tried to replace it yet, just buying a bunch of parts for maintenance to do all...
