Finally got around to replacing old belts. I can't get the daggum AC belt around the pulleys for the life of me. The tensioner pulley is bottomed out. Pull and tug as I may, I can't get the new one to fit. Prior to install, I lined the new belts (OEM from SOR) up with old and they appeared...
With a lot of up and down and up and down to find the right engine elevation at which to pry at it, I finally got it. What a SOB. That was supposed to be an easy one. Lesson learned - make sure your working surface is level and your jacking point is level for a job like that. I was on a flat...
More info - It is the driver side mount that is the issue. The passenger is new and threaded in engine bracket and frame bracket. The driver side motor mount bottom bolt is too far back (3/8" maybe) toward the transmission to slide into the frame bracket.
So, I am back on it this weekend. I was able to get the passenger mount out and a new one in place. It looks like the engine shifted slightly once things were loose and the bolt holes from frame to engine bracket don't line up directly. I thought maybe lowering the engine would shift them...
I have looked/poked/prodded from a few angles to try to get ahold of the top nut on the passenger side motor mount with no luck. I'm pinched between the mount and the AC compressor/bracket and only access seems to be through wheel well. Any tips? Other motor mount bolts are off. To verify...
I’m interested to hear your findings. I have a similar problem. I cleaned the evaporator when overhauling my system earlier this year. When switching air routes (feet, dash, or windshield) I get no changes - I.e air blows out of everything at a consistent level. Cold air still gets out, it...
Fusible links all pass the tug and continuity test. I noticed on start up that if I try to turn the blower fan on the seat belt light goes off. No idea where that connection would be.
Seat belt light comes and goes while driving and I noticed that the voltage meter on the dash is a little low compared to normal. Replaced alternator several months ago.
Pulled into my driveway and the A/C, radio, and clock (possibly other things) all went out. Have replaced fuses and checked battery terminals. Checked 30amp breaker to see if it was tripped. Other places to look?
