I'm cleaning up my farmyard and looking for a new home for this. This has been sitting for a few years but was driven daily by my neighbor until I bought it. Thought I might have used it for parts or title for my build but didn't end up needing it. Currently has no battery. When it was parked...

What farmers do in the winter (SOA and reversal update)

Took me about 7 months to do a weeks worth of work, however, over the summer months here and there I picked away at my SOA and reversal. I have made new lower profile mounts up front, pulled the packs apart and refinished them as well as lined them with graphite powder. Took a few lower leafs...

How flat are your leafs on a SOA???

Hello all, I mocked up my SOA today under weight and was a little surprised at how flat my leafs were. Added up Approx. weight (2,500 Lbs) and centered it on a weight average to get a feel for true curb weight position. I added an extra leaf in the front packs to help with the extra weight from...

How close can I let leafs ride under the frame?

Hello all, Finishing up my SOA and leaf reversal and trying to decide where to mount my in frame shackles. The image below shows about 1.25" of clearance sitting with average GVWR. Is that enough? or am I asking for trouble in big flex situations. As a note there won't be linear movement on the...

Where do you point your rear pinion on SOA

Hello all, Diving into my SOA but am at a standstill while I have a extra custom leaf made for the pack up front. Seem's like a good time to work on the rear. Where should I point my pinion at? Option one would seem to be fairly step and right up at the rear U joint on differential. This will...

Any pictures of a leaf reversal with anti inversion shackles?

Hello all, Thinking of diving into a little suspension project but want to see some pics to visualize where i'm going. Looking for a picture of a leaf reversal that has a anti inversion shackle mounted in frame. Curious to see what angles and how long of shackles people ended up using. Thanks

Some of you might find this fun

Haven’t had much time to work on my FJ now that farm season is up and going. I did however tinker on this guy a little bit today. Unimog 406 MB4/94, super impulse purchase at the time but hey, never can own to many toys.

Got a little burst of energy and decided to finish up my NP205. Blasted the cast, complete rebuild, twin stick modifications, and new oil ports for clocking it up a couple inches.
