I realize this is a complete apples and oranges question, but have any of you driven the new Bronco and if so what are your thoughts compared to your 200? I know reliability is a likely trade off, but they do seem pretty fun!
Gents,
My slightly lifted 2019 (on factory UCAs) has a faint pop when turning. I think it might be a slight rub from the tire on the wheel lining, but could it be anything else? The pop seems to occur in conjunction with the wheel spinning (i.e. it has a rhythm depending upon speed).
The mount on my carrier has the two bolts, which would remove the mounting plate with the wheel attached. So, we drilled a hole in that assembly and added a lock to secure the plate to the carrier.
Guys, what are the odds the camburg x joint UCA for the tundra would work on the LC? I like the X Joint concept but there isn’t a direct match for the land cruiser. There is a set local to me, but I’m guessing they wouldn’t work well...
So you have had good expereince with the ironman UCAs? I liked them because they are not overkill for my purposes (slightly lifted truck, 99% spent on road).
In my 2019, with my 24gal LRA tank, I too get a faint fuel smell. It is almost always present but I have 15k miles on the tank since the install and there have been no codes
The plate was moved to the left, if you are facing the rear of the truck and the bars holding the tire. Essentially anything that is raw steel in the photo.
I couldn’t find a new hitch mounted carrier for my spare, so I had a local shop modify my current one. They moved the whole assembly over which helps clear the rear glass, and added the arms to make a cradle for the tire. MUCH easier to get the spare in place.
