So I figured it out. It wasnt the fact I hooked up the 12v to the VSV. It was the fact I connected the vacuum tube which seems to constantly engage the cut off butterfly valve. I dont know why. I think the VSV is not getting power when the car is on.
the wire connecting the VSV + (yellow cable) got super hot when I connected to the battery. The fuse didn't blow so that was a fail. Is my VSV gone? Shouldnt the car start without VSV anyway?
Hi folks. My 12ht wasnt shutting down. Something was up with the VSV. After some looking I found it was a disconnected vac line.
However before I found this vac line, I noticed the VSV connector has a loose yellow cable. I thought maybe this (yellow) cable needed to be connected to 12v+.
So I...
Hey folks. so I've got a 2h converted into a 12ht. the 12ht block had stock a/c but prev owner fitted aftermarket a/c.
I'm in process of un-doing and going back to stock a/c.
I've got the condenser and loom all wired up with new a/c amplifier, etc, but one thing I can't figure out is the a/c...
Set logic aside when talking about the NSW RMS.
I've been to 6 different mechanics all certified to give blue slips (inspection required for new registrations here) and they've all turned me down SIMPLY beause I am missing the rear bench seats. It's insane.. They're all requesting me to get a...
Hi. I got a troopcarrier 75. I has 11 seats.
Do I need to register this as a bus (requiring 6 monthly checks), or can I just register it with as a car?
I tried to take the seats out to register it but everyone said i now need an engineer certificate to register it as it's been 'modified'...
thanks coldtaco and rosco! I found the fill plugs. Turns out I do have the bypass installed like roscos pic above. I was thrown off by the bypass tube and the fact that the bypass bolt is smaller than 24mm (non-standard). Thanks!
is your drain plug on the very bottom of your t-case (as shown below). I only ask because I did heaps of searching on this subject before posting and couldnt find any similar t-cases with drain plug on bottom. My gearbox drain plug is also on the very bottom, just forward (closer to the front of...
thanks rosco, so that rules out the red fella. I don't think my t-case is the same as that one though. I removed the yellow bolt and on the inside of the bolt it had a spring which depresses some rod inside the thread. I don't know why. Would this be the filler for the t-case?
The purple circle...
Hi folks. Having a bit of a hard time finding the fill plugs for my 1985 2h manual.
I've found the two drain plugs but I cant seem to locate the fill plugs. I've attached some photos and circled the possible locations, can you tell me which one they possibly are? My silly gregorys manual has no...
Hey folks. so for the past couple weeks i've been trying to sort out some electrical issues with my 2h 1985.
it's mainly related to the glow plug setup (its a superglow setup). The fusible link that would usually run the glow plug set up has been fused out with a replaceable fuse holder (it...
lol. I just bought the thing. Took these photos on the drive back to Sydney from Bris ~ Cleaning will happen soon.... starting with the roaches under the floormats.
Doh, I am just done with my haynes manual. Guys I just need some straight forward answers and sadly I dont have any friends who own a 75 (or any landcruisers! losers!) so here goes, i got my second 75 troopy this week and its got a few quirks. I thought maybe you experience folks could gleam...
