I've got a 2010 LX and also have this issue. A couple of years ago I had the Lexus dealer take a look and they said the unit needed to be replaced. I passed on that and just use the volume controls on the steering wheel. Hopefully someone comes up with a fix that doesn't require total replacement.
I've had good experiences with Lexus of Greenwood Village. They did my radiator, valley plate leak, transmission to transfer case leak and flushed my AHC once.
I'm not sure I can directly relate it to one thing but I made some changes to my LX and the issue has since gone away. At the time I was running a LED headlight kit (Hikari) that I have since replaced with the stock lights. I also had an AGM battery using the slee tray. I installed new battery...
I've been using the Chemical Guys products (both interior and exterior) for a couple of years now with great results. I also picked up a foam cannon off of amazon and use the two bucket method when washing. Youtube is also a great resource for videos on detailing. Check out AMMO NYC and...
Wow! I’m sure that was quite scary having your 100 act up like that. You’re, right it definitely does not give me confidence when driving around.
I have actually had a few big repairs over the past 3 years. First was the valley plate leak. Shorty after that, the radiator went out. Then about 7...
Thanks for the replies everyone, this is definitely a weird issue. It seems like it would be electrical related since the dash went dark and the lights shut off for a second. I'll try to dig further into that area tomorrow. I am running the Slee kit for the group 31 battery and it has standard...
Yesterday evening while driving on the highway at about 70 mph, my LX suddenly died. Lights turned off, dash goes dark and the engine stopped for a second or two. While still moving, the car started again everything came back on and driving continued as normal. About 30 minutes later, the same...
The only symptom was oil on the transfer case. The dealer actually found a leak when I brought it in for an oil change. Below is a link to a thread I started on the issue. The picture makes it look worse than it actually was. I never found any oil on the garage floor...
I've had a few fairly big repairs on my 2010 LX. The biggest repair was the transfer case input seal and transmission output seal for $2400. I also had the valley plate leak and that was about $1200. The radiator went out as well and that repair was $1000. All repairs were done at the dealer and...
Luckily my LX was still covered by an extend warranty but it was a fairly big job. They replaced the transfer case input seal and transmission output seal. It was billed out as a 17 hour job for about $2500. I had the work done at Kuni Lexus.
I took my 2010 LX570 with just over 100k miles in for service and they found a leak between the transmission and transfer case. Luckily I have an extended warranty through Lexus so the repair is covered. I'm curious to see if any others have experienced this leak on their 200.
No spacers as of yet. The wheels/tires sit fairly tucked in under the fenders and I'm debating running spacers to change the look. I have noticed a bit of rubbing on the inner fender liner when turning in reverse but it's not too bad. I think others on here have experienced the same issue but...
I'm running 275/70R18 BFG KO2s on 2016+ Land Cruiser wheels. I also did the AHC lift in the front to level things out. The picture was taken in 'N' mode.
Took the LX out for some light offloading over the weekend in Crested Butte, CO. I haven't done much to my rig yet but I have future plans and will probably start a build thread one of these days to document the process.
Thanks. I am running the KO2 in a 275/70R18. They fit pretty well but do rub a bit when in reverse. I also did the AHC lift/level in the front and that helped out.
I run Land Cruiser wheels on my 2010 LX. I was able to get the Toyota center caps to fit on the front by trimming them a little bit and taking the metal ring off of them.
I run '16+ Land Cruiser wheels on my 2010 LX without any issues. I just kept the Toyota center caps on my wheels. However, I did have to trim a little bit of the plastic off of them so they would fit on the front.
