So I took my rear axle to a machine shop to have the bearing pulled off and a new outer seal put on...
They said they can’t remove that bearing with out damaging it!
mid the bearing is still good I find it hard to believe that it can’t come off and be out back on...
Anyone have any input on this?
I wouldn’t doubt it if they did!
I had a front lower shock bolt fall out in Moab... went back in to talk to them and they blew me off...
The smoke only comes when brakes warm up...
I think it’s gear oil?
So notice smoke coming from rear end of the 100 series after driving... replaced calipers and still smoked... noticed fluid on inside of wheel...
At this point I assume it’s an axle seal? I’m pretty green in this area...
1. Any way of knowing which one or a way to check it and find out?
