I don't think it is ever a bad idea to purchase a Land Cruiser if you have the money. You won't have to buy another vehicle for 25 years...that's like a family heirloom.
Today I read this thread, went to Autozone and purchased the tools I didn't have but needed to do this job, and changed the fuel filter. All of that took me an hour. Thank you ih8mud community for all of your help.
Replaced coil to cylinder #2 and #8 with my son. One had been replaced by previous owner, and the other I think was original. Very soon we are going to replace all coils and spark plugs.
I bought my LC last March and the longer I have it the more I enjoy it! Amazing vehicles.
Thank you for the detailed description of the tear down. I think I will let my mechanic tackle this job. I just broke a rib and wont be able to lift the heater core.
