I am now at 165k and have not replaced mine. They look about the same as your pictures. I flushed my ahc fluid and just kept an eye on the level. Haven't noticed any loss really. Based on the threads here - replacing the globes seems to have more impact on overall performance than replacing...
Sorry, I figured out my problem after some testing. The rotor wasn't seating correctly even after torquing on the wheel a couple times. It was just out of round enough to rub. Once I got it seated no more problem. My dust shields looked good. I been spraying them with fluid films for a...
I replaced the pads and rotors all the way around. I also replaced the rear calipers since the right side was frozen. Bled the brakes with all new fluid.
Now, I have a new scraping issue on the left rear. I am pretty sure it's the parking shoes scraping. I pulled it apart and there was a...
Does anyone know if you can buy a completely assembled caliper from anywhere?
The cylinder is completely frozen on mine. The pins still slide ok, but I can't get he piston to move which I am sure was my problem. It was covered in a lot of gunk from my dirt roads/winter etc.
My lx started having a weird brake grinding in the front. Almost feels like they are not grabbing just when your coming to the final stop. At higher speeds there is no noticeable change.
I assumed my brakes needed serviced and quickly ordered pads/rotors from my local dealership. We are of...
I could not get mine level either. It looks level if your looking at it, but measuring it was driving me crazy too. I threw in the towel and just went for more height.
I have this issue also on my 08 lx with 150k It feels like driveline slack to me and occurs most often on inclines. I have it happen often when offroad in 4-lo climbing up. On road it only happens occasionally.
It's my only concern with the truck and have been really worried that it might be...
My lx gets a lot of abuse during winter. I can't get it home without being covered in snow, ice, salt, mag cl. It sits like that in my garage every day.
Last couple years I have been using nu finish on the paint and fluid film on the underside. Fluid film is some amazing stuff if you can get...
Just read this and having the same issue recently. From the ground to wheel well mine is always .25-.5 inches different and can't get it to be perfect no matter what. If I measure from the top of the tire all sides appear to be exactly the same. Haven't been able to figure out why it won't...
My LX does this to at times. I did a complete flush of the fluid and changed the filter and it still does this. It also clunks pretty bad when it's cold out into reverse, but based on what others have said this seems to be a common issue. I have been trying to ignore it.
My lx was squeaking when it retracted and was driving me crazy. I fixed it by just putting a light lubricant on the plastic surface of the steering column. Can't even remember what I used, but it worked. The plastic must have been rubbing causing the squeaking.
I would agree with the recommendation to head to the Canadian rockies. Best trip would be to do Glacier then drive to Sandpoint, ID and then up highway 95 to Radium and then to Banff and up to Jasper. Try to fit in time in Canada's Glacier, Yoho, Banff and Jasper parks. It's absolutely...
I wonder if they are not over torquing it, but other issues are at play here. I say that because I had a piece of stock welded on and then the shop broke it loose with a huge wrench. They left it loose so I could drive home and change it. By the time I got home it was seriously stuck...
I have bought three sets in the last year or so, 2x$600 and 1x$400. I did this by simply setting up craigslist alerts and being willing to drive which adds to the cost a bit. I am using them for my summer and winters w/spares. I had two extra which I sold to mud members at cost for their...
My LX started doing this when it retracts in after you shut the vehicle off. Was waiting for it to warm up to look at it, but just seems like it's rubbing on something as it goes in. The noise is pretty irritating
