OP. I live in central Iowa. I have a 2000 LC I am thinking about selling. 210k miles. Replaced the entire throttle body, radiator, 2nd water pump and timing belt, tensioner and pulley system, thermostat and hoses in the past month. It has new breaks all around and new rear rotors in the last...
It looks nice. Get pics of the underside. Should be rust free if from Dallas.
Was the water pump changed along with the timing belt?
Get all maintenance records. Check CV boots for leakage. Check everything for leakage.
Any previous accidents?
Price isn’t bad. I would try for around $12-13k if...
I’m figuring a alternator or starter will be coming at me next.
My wife thinks I am crazy since my LC is a second car. But it’s the one I drive most. The thought of selling it or just letting it sit kills me.
Good to hear. I just hit 210 k miles and having the radiator, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, and hoses replaced. Just replaced the entire throttle body also. A cool $3k. I enjoy this vehicle and want to keep it going.
So I am changing the water pump and timing belt. Radiator is leaking so it needs replaced also. Will replace the thermostat and radiator hoses.
I just replaced the entire throttle body. So all and all I am going to be spending around $3k. I hope it keeps me running well for some time.
Yes I own. I love driving it. I knew the water pump and TB were coming up I just did not expect the throttle body replacement. I appreciate everyone’s comments. It seems everyone is in agreement that it is worth continuing to fix!
My 2000 LC with 210k miles. Great condition. No body rust. Clean interior.
I replaced the heater tee’s, shocks and struts, and wheel bearings over the past few years. Repacked the front bearings. Breaks done all around. I just had the entire throttle body replaced as it was going into limp mode...
My 2000 LC w/210k miles went into limp mode for the first time ever yesterday.
Stopped, shut it off and restarted it and it ran fine, but cel, vsc, and traction control lights remain on.
I am trying to decided if I should take it to my local Toyota dealer or have a local mechanic work on it. I...
I drive it 80 miles back and forth to work 3-4 days a week. It sucks the gas, but has never left me high and dry. I have a newer truck, but use it for the family and when I need the bed. I drive my LC to keep the mileage down on my truck, plus I love it and it’s just so comfortable to drive.
