I made my own...got some window screen from Lowe's and cut them to a little bigger than the windows, and a pack of circular magnets from Harbor Freight.
Correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't see why that would be an issue. (I mean - if you don't care about having an airbag.) Wouldn't a '94 steering wheel fit on a '96 or '97 just fine?
Hi all, I searched and can't locate the part number for these two little black "dust protectors" that broke off of my starter. I have the 2kw starter (28100-66060) and when I removed it to do a rebuild, these two black things basically broke off. Looking at various diagrams, I see these are...
I paid $3750 for one with almost the exact same mileage but with better interior, and OK maintenance from FL. So (for me) comparing the two, I would pay no more than $3k for this one. In fact I would actually just bypass this one altogether and look for something in better condition (and pay...
This is a pair of front seats that came out of a 91 Land Cruiser. They need cleaning, new padding, new covers, and one of the mounts needs to be welded (or maybe JB welded) back on.
I intended to re-cover them and replace my electric seats, but I fixed my electrics. I no longer need them. So...
Yes, checked fuses. I actually found the cause of my A/C problems, it was a different plug I forgot to reconnect. (I feel dumb, but happy I found the solution.)
My air conditioner compressor clutch will not engage when I push the A/C button. So I tried jumping the compressor directly - and that worked. So I figured there could be something disconnected, somewhere.
(The reason I suspected that a plug wasn't connected was because I had taken off the...
What is involved in creating one? It seems like people must have done this before. I just have no clue where to start. I know it would have to involve drilling a hole...but what next?
I verified the ECU was indeed getting power. It actually ended up being totally fine. The problem was a the cheap ELM327 unit I was using - it just plain doesn't work on all vehicles (in my case, the LC).
On my 96, I have a CEL and want to see if there are any codes. So I plugged in the OBD2 and started Torque on my phone. It just keeps trying to connect and no matter what it says it cannot communicate with the ECU (or ECM - forgot which terminology it uses).
I actually tried 3 different OBD2...
This appeals to me as well - I have a 96 with leather seats that won't move forward/backward properly. I know where I can get some old cloth seats out of a 91 but I just don't know if I can even install them and install the seat belts.
If it IS possible for me to bolt them in and put in seat...
