Since most of their sliders are made to order, im willing to bet they would. Natalie (his wife) is very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I know many people have wanted the angle of the sliders to be less steep and they have no problem accommodating those requests. It's worth dropping...
White Knuckle Off-road makes great sliders. They are located in Apple Valley, CA and are very nice people. I have a set on my Pro-4x Xterra and will buy a set for my LC once it is acquired. They allow will-call pick up. So if you wanted to make a day of it, pick up your sliders and then head up...
Thanks a lot everyone. I'll be patient and see what pans out. I'll be sure to post here when I acquire one. I'm not new to modding vehicles, so I know how slippery that slope is.
Thanks OG91LC. I have recently started my search back up. I had taken some time off from my search during the past couple of months, which started around February. In that time I had driven 6 or 7, but they just didn't feel like 'the one'.
Thanks for your input Chap.
I forgot to mention my intended use. It won't be a daily driver, it will be used for monthly local weekend trips up to Big Bear, the desert, Mammoth, June Lake, etc.. The dirt it will see won't consist of anything too crazy, lets just say Gold Mountain in Big Bear...
I'm still on a quest for my first Land Cruiser, an 80 series. I have noticed the prices are steadily climbing here in SoCal (kind of like houses, lol). It seems like the average "decent" condition 80 series is going for in upwards of $8,000. By decent condition, I am referring to the...
It was cool, saw a handful of rattle snakes and had to wait for them to scoot across Coxey Rd. Decent amount of wildflowers still in bloom, so that was cool. We just stayed on the main road up till Fawnskin. The others went and hit Gold Mountain and I opted to skip it, hung a left on Polique...
Did you end up going on Sunday? We had a crew of 6 vehicles, I was keeping an eye out for a LC coming down but didn't see any. We started at 10am from Coxey rd.
I'd be coming from Long Beach, so I exit Bear Valley Rd. from the 15 and head east, will hang a right on Japutal (just before the 18 turn off) and then take that up to the trail head. I've never gone up Coxey (watched a few videos of it though) but I imagine I'll air down before heading up the...
Ironically I plan to run that route the opposite way on Sunday, starting on Coxey and ending in Fawnskin. Was thinking of hanging a left at the intersection of 3N16 and taking that east to the end at the Dump.
I'm in the same boat, on the prowl for an 80 series. I'm definitely going 93+.
And you have a triple locked LC in your grasp, for a great price, I'd buy it if I were in your shoes.
Loving the replies! I certainly can appreciate the ribbing some of you guys dish out. I know it's only aesthetic, so not a huge deal. As a graphic designer I am OCD about logo placements and crap...it's silly. But again, I know the mechanical integrity is everything.
I'm planning to go check...
