I took my 5 and 3 year old out to the Death Valley area recently. It was our first "overland" trip together, IE not camping in a campground. We camped in the Panamint Valley, checked out some minds, braved temps in the upper 20's at night, and had a wonderful time...
We left home in the Bay...
These guys are right down the street for me, they gave me a decent quote on a steering rack replacement. They have a solid reputation and following locally...
The two arms are straightforward and come with the bushings if you buy the arm. You can just replace the bushings in the arm but I just bought the whole arm not to mess with pressing in bushings.
The third bushing does require to remove/chisel/displace the old bushing somehow, lots of...
Jeff and Toy Connection have done some work for me including maintanence and a locker install. The work was fine and reasonable. I think Mudrak in Sonoma is likely the most 100 specific shop in the Bay Area, but he is pretty pricey. The amount he quoted to do a steering rack was truly jaw...
Very reputable Cruiser shop here in Bay Area quoted me waaay more that $575 labor for rack install. 575 seems fantastic imo...I would also go OEM on the rack.
That $6,000 number is going to go right out the window fast. Have you calculated your baseline/maintenance costs yet? You're starting with a 20 year old vehicle that probably has a few things that need to be addressed, unless you bought the most perfectly maintained 100 series in the US...
homemade square tubing rack in my build thread. Good call on buying the towers and not trying to create those yourself. Those measurements are a PITA. I personally like flat. Nothing that you attach up there is going anywhere if you attach it right. Basket is just more surfaces to catch the...
fwiw I've never been able to get trans temp on Torque. I know others have been able, you type in some algorithm or something, but I've never been succesful, bummer too....
Hi everyone, 07 LX, 175k, original front wheel bearings as far as I know. This is the outer bearing, driver side.
I can shift the rollers side to side as seen in video. Is this a sign of a worn out bearing? I have no other symptoms of bad bearings. No 12 to 6 movement when I shake tire...
