I let the LC get pretty low recently on a drive and now after a refill of fuel, I get a slow start and smell fuel from the outside. I admit I’m at a loss, I can’t see fuel puddling or leaking. Where can I start troubleshooting here? TIA!!
With this heat, at idle, my A/C is not cooling sufficiently. I suspect my Condenser fan may be weak- it seems to cool much better when moving. The condenser fan is original (from 2000) and I know no way to test the Condenser fan, outside of replacing it and hoping it cools better. There don't...
Selling my 2k 100 Series. 285k on the clock, Maintained by me. Complete timing kit installed @217k, axles and steering rack replaced at same time. Upgraded rear springs with the 2860 OME heavy duty for towing. Replaced Upper and lower control arms and suspension- Repaired AC as well with new...
My Hundy is running fine but with the miles, many of the vacuum lines and various hoses are looking pretty bad. Does anyone have a list of the hoses/part numbers and any tips on the more complicated write-ups for the less-than-easy installs of rubber lines and/or hoses?
I was just wondering if a kit exists for replacing the myriad of rubber hoses (not coolant or anything) that are now beginning to dry-rot after 20 years? There are many diameters and lengths under there. :)
I am chewing up ANY stabilizer kit I install on the front suspension- Anyone have any idea why I might be chewing through those stabilizer links in 3-4 months?
So, the Dorman Fan Bracket I had installed at 217k when My Timing Belt was done decided to shred the bearings and completely shredded in less than 80k miles. Totally came OUT of the bracket housing.
Went with the Aisin this time (and Fan Clutch). I WOULD have last time but stock was low, and i...
Anyone know the actual part number for the vacuum/Airbox for the 2k 100 series? While changing a coil/plug in bank 2, two of the fixed plastic nipples cracked. I have them JBweld/Gorilla Tape "Bushfixed", but will need to replace the whole box.
Thanks in advance!
Little worried about getting to the top bolts on the Rear shocks...any specific tools or advice anyone can provide for "getting in there" and properly torquing the top nut?
Thanks All!
ANy "Gotchas" or tips you all Could share before I take on this job? FSM Seems fairly easy. The new parts have the Ball Joint and Zerks for regular servicing- but I need Tips if you All could share any. I am in the South, so no "rust belt" issues to be concerned. I have already replaced the...
For the K02 Folks out there, how many 32nds did you All start to notice excess noise? Suppose I'm just wondering at what point do the K02s begin to give out or become just plain annoying?
Love this truck, just got back from driving all over the southern US with my family and a ton (literally) of presents and loved ones. Not one issue, strange noise, engine code or clunk and my wife drives damn near 100 MPH on the highway. On the 1k mile trip home, I ran two cycles of Lucas UCL...
Man, I'm frustrated.
Less than a year ago, I replaced #4 with a Denso Coil Pack and Denso Plug. Here I am again with another engine code, misfire cyl 4. What gives? Why is my rig chewing through sparkplugs and/or coils like this?
Going to tackle this job this week sometime - Any gotchas or shortcuts I should know before I dive in there?
I got the OEM version End-Links (Rubber), the POLY/Blue Moogs totally disintegrated in just over a year. Lame.
Any tips in advance of the job would be welcome. The searches on here are...
Did some searching on the topic - Would a faulty Solar Sensor cause the AC light to blink and compressor to stop? New compressor, condenser, new evap coil, correct weight oil and good pressures. Works fine when ON, but still at times blinks. I even replaced the relay with the updated version...
So, the rear subs seem fine, really- new almost. I think someone already replaced them once before.. However, the "buzzing" seems to be coming from the panel itself rattling in vibration with heavier bass notes. I took them out in the factory box, expecting to find shredded cones. But they...
Found a can in the garage and tried it out on the Hundy. Pretty damn impressed, actually. Far better than any recently purchased "cleaer/sealnt" I've tried to date. Took off hard water marks, swirls, and was easy on/off. Put some Eagle One Gel Wax on top of that, and the results are amazing...
