170k ish miles, I put the 37" MTR tires on (picked them up for almost free) and planned on regearing. It's geared for 35's so you won't win races but drives greats otherwise. The last guy used it as a beach/surf cruiser and was stored outside so a little rust but nothing crazy. Solid foundation...

Don't have time to work on this project and need the extra room in the garage.
1984 FJ60, Manual, 4 inch rancho lift on 37" MTRs, convertible roof (just needs a soft top).
Engine is strong, shifts very smooths, runs great! Does not have smog.
Clean Title, no lien...
Brakes are only about 20% of stopping power where they should be. Driving down the road at 45mph and I have the brake pedal on the floor of the truck and barely slowing down. I've checked pads and they have good amount of life on them still but changing them anyways. Also doing a new master...
The truck definitely has enough lift for the tires but I don't need the large tires for what I want to do. I'm looking to trade someone for their 35" tires.
The braking is horrible and it's the main reason why I'm thinking of downsizing. I had 35" tires on my jeeps and was more than happy. I don't need the big tires on my cruiser but they came with the truck.
Bought my beautiful rig with 37" MTRs. It will be used only for 1000 miles per year for outdoor recreation, camping, fishing. Would you guys keep the 37" tires or downsize to 35"?
For some reason I think I'm missing the fuel filter. I bought a new one to install but can't find the current one anywhere on the cruiser. I'll upload a picture when I get home. Maybe I'm just crazy haha
Thank you so much for the pictures! I used these pics and got my oil changed and it runs much better. I need to get myself a manual and go through the basics of my new (32 years old) vehicle. Thanks again
